It’s such a shame to stay up late and see this…. thank goodness I’m not tired!
Still don’t see why we had to travel west and play the next night, while the Nats get to travel to Philly and get the off-day. CONSPIRACY!

As much as some alleged people around here thought Cox was a donkey this type of effort would NEVER have occurred under Cox. He would have tried to do some things.
Gonzalez manages like he follows a script and allows the Braves to get schooled. Team is docile, never fired up and will never reach its potential until they get a quality coaching staff in place.

Actually A-Bomb you’re wrong. Cox waited just as long to make changes. It’s the exact reason I was personally tired of him and why I had zero interest in one of his understudies.
But even I have to admit, in the end I’d just simply like better players to root for.
Of the everyday guys that are likely to return, Freeman, Prado and Heyward are the only ones “worth” bringing back. Everybody else is either worthless or cost too much for their production…. or both.
Simmons obviously falls into that category. But anytime you have a guy who’s hands get injured, I’ll wait to see if it affects his game.

NO N8 — For once YOU ARE WRONG.
Cox may not have been a genius, but he had his players intense and ready to go. That’s where his strength was. We may have lost — but Cox would bunt, hit and run and steal to get something going.
Gonzalez does NOTHING.
Cox’s strength was his motivation. I saw what I saw from 1978-80 and 1990-2010. Saw it all. he backed his players on and off the field.
Gonzalez is a robot WHO DOES NOTHING. Sorry, disagree and won’t change my take.

Well, well, the signs of September 2011 are coming early.
The Braves are falling out of the WC, never mind the division. A disgraceful week of baseball because as I said earlier in the year they are not that good.
It was fun while it lated but the Braves played over their heads for a while, but this team is not good enough to hold a playoff spot. They cannot beat the good teams.
