How can I be sufferng when my team is very good and in a pennant race? So what they BARELY lost 2 games to the team with the best record in baseball? Could be a Mets, Cubs, Royals, Marlins fan about now…Im going to enjoy this ride no matter how it comes out. The main point is, the Braves can beat any team in baseball in a series or one game when they play to their potential and one series does not make a season. Plenty of baseball left and McCann, Uggla, Freeman, Heyward, Jones, Prado, Bourn can all get hot at the same time and if they do….lets see who is suffering little mind. Go give Chipper some more advice on hitting why dont you? ROFLMAO! That shows how much what you say on here is worth. Notta!

Medlen has about 86 IP now and should finish with about 30 more for a total of 116IP. How many would feel good about him having 180 IP tonight and be facing 210 for the year if they started him in the rotation from day 1?

I feel the Braves can pitch Medlen any way they want to next season and not have to worry about his elbow. I wouldn’t feel that way if he was closing in on 200.

David Ross leads off the 5th with a single to center. As a starter this season, Rossy is now 31-for-112 (.277) with 2 2B, 6 HR & 14 RBI

Food for thought.

Agree… it’s good to not have to make the Strasburg decision and have to shut Meds down… it’d have been a downer.

Columbus,

you probably made the same argument last August and maybe were even making it in October after the Braves folded. The Mets, Cubs, Royals, and Marlins fans were probably laughing at the Braves and their fans on October 1st last year. There was no difference between the Braves and those teams on October 1st 2011. They ALL were staying home and watching the playoffs including the Braves. So if you’re happy singing “rah, rah and lets get em boys” and think thas all it will take to put the Braves over the top, then enjoy your little fantasy.

As for Chipper, he’s a 40 year old who no longer plays like a hall of famer. He earned his credentials over an entire career, not how he has performed over the last 3 or 4 years. Sometimes he shows flashes of talent. Sometimes he swings the bat like a 40 year old has been.

Henry Aaron is a Hall of Famer, but if he tried swinging the bat today, he would have some bad at bats and bad approaches. And of course if Henry swung at a bad pitch you would probably claim he knew exactly what he was doing and tried the miss the ball.

Enjoy wearing your Chipper Jones jersey, Columbus. I bet you’re the envy of all the other 12 year olds in your neighborhood.

“When you’ve got a couple guys who are struggling in the lineup, it seems like the big at-bats always find you,” – Chipper Jones

LOLOLOLOLOL

Hey HOF Bonehead, there’s always a coupla guys struggling in our lineup. The ownership won’t spend, and we got the guy that made Baltimore a laughing-stock making the decisions for our club. It’s absurd. You’re absurd, too, Chipper. With rationale like this from players, coaches, and management, it’s not surprising this ball club has one World Series ring since it decided to ooze down from Milwaukee.

One more thing Columbus,

Find some other phrase or word instead of the worn out “haters” thing. To dummies like you, someone who says they don’t like a certain kind of food is a “hater.”

You don’t like it to rain 7 days in a row? You must be a “rain hater!”

You prefer summer to winter? You must be a “winter hater!”

You don’t like it when your mom cooks brussel sprouts? You must be “your mom hater!”

Grow up and stop the hype.
