Just heard an interview on FAN with Mets GM Aldersoen. It looks like David Wright 3B could be had before he becomes a free agent at the end of 2013.
Attention: GM Wren PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS!
They will most likely let him go for the best package over the winter to. whomever can offer the Mets the best package? Cmon
Braves have to step up their game if there are any thoughts about the postseason to be had. Obviously the ones we keep runnin’ out there are not getting it done. Sit some folks down for awhile and put someone else in their place. Does it really matter who loses the game? It’s still a loss and we need wins now. We could get hot and go all the way or fall flat on our faces. Time will tell the story and I’ll be a Braves fan either way.
It will be interesting to see and hear the game attendance for tonight’s game in DC, but not nearly as much as the next game in ATL if the current trend continues. Lordy, Lordy, it could get ugly!. BUT, that’s the only way to take a stand. Money do talk, yes it do. Keep going and you will get the same results. Love mediocrity? Then you should be in “Hog Heaven”(along with Honey Boo Boo!)
Sooo…you want to give up a boatload of top prospects for a single year of David Wright? Because there is little chance of resigning him for what he will command as a free agent…
To expand on a point I made yesterday. Aside from Chipper, who in this lineup has ever carried a team when it matters most – September?
Bourn & Uggla played for second division teams and have never known playoff baseball, Heyward and Freeman must be stressing over their contributions (although the one hitter who has done well as of late is Heyward), McCann is seriously injured, yet pushed to start, and Prado, Janish, Johnson & Francisco are strictly role players.
