We have a rain delay, I believe it is really raining tonight. Rain delay programing is really bad,it would be better if Joe and Chip talked baseball like CUBBIE announcers do.

if the Strasburg dont comeback after the rain , it´s not a break for the braves because they will bring Gorzelanny or Lannan to pitch… and that sucks because they are lefties….it´s worst than Strasburg…

If the Braves are lucky it will rain until Friday and they can slip out of DC only 6 games out. Fredi needs to man up and sit Uggla for at least a couple of games.Maybe he will make some adjustments if he knows there are some repercussions for his dismal production this year. His hot second half has never materialized this year .

George: Ain’t gonna happen. Reminds me of all the silly features the Olympics got into a few years back and removed the fans from the contests. This is lazy TV. You want t pack fans into the stand, stay on air and talk about needed trades, trades made, players that are scuffling, injury reports, games remaining, etc. Don’t know if this is the fault of the hosts or poor programming, but as soon as I see the tarp coming out, I change channels.

Welcome to the wonders of DC weather forecasting!
So,for argument’s sake, let’s assume the Braves clinch a wild card with enough time to set their pitching the way they want it. You will need 1 pitcher to hopefully get you into the NLDS and probably a 3-4 man rotation for the best of 5 series. I haven’t looked at the exact schedule, but would assume the wild card pitcher probably wouldn’t be able to come back for a NLDS game (maybe a later game depending on off days and such). At any rate, how would you set up the pitching rotation?

Don’t bother watching this game. Last night will leave a hangover into the rest of this game. No way they put it behind them. It was devastating to lose last night. It rendered the possibility of catching Wash. to basically 0.
These two games remaining are virtually meaningless as far as the division goes. Just win one at least and move on. There is no division title in sight anymore. It’s been over for a while….last night just nailed it shut. Its over.
Maybe a one game playoff for this team….but no more than that. The offense is still the issue. Can’t win against good teams because the offense sputters to often. Face it honestly and just play on. Nothing to do but accept the inevitable.

Last night, pulled out the tarp and waited through 30 minutes of rain before deciding to roll it out.
Tonite, start the game w/out the field being ready.

It is the nature of all ATL pro sports teams. They simply cannot–and never have been able to–seize the moment, step into the spotlight, shine on the national stage, go for the kill, win the big one, catch the eyes of the nation, etc. Lone exception in nearly a half-century: ‘95 Braves.
Now in the throes of yet another untimely losing streak (albeit only a 3-gamer), it certainly doesn’t appear at this point that the 2012 Braves will be able to overcome the dark and troubled history of this city’s pro sports franchises; i.e., ONE championship in 155 seasons of competition.
