Yeah….replace THAT in center next season and keep the injury-plagued catcher who plays 4-5 days a week, has inconsistent vision and shoulder issues.
And the caveman 2nd baseman who swings like Buford Pusser busting windows. That’s the ticket.

well, just hit a bunch of homers and all is excused…maybe if he was hitting 50, Id give u that…but his homer production isnt superb enough to offset his average

July 23rd vs Marlins 7 innings 2 ER he lost…….
July 28th vs Phillies 8 inning 1 ER barely won…. (2-1)
Aug 7th vs Phillies 7 innings 3 ER he lost….
Aug 13th vs Padre’s 6 innings 3 ER he lost…..
Today 5 innings 1 ER were losing…
They don’t support Minor

Mark Unfortunately, Fredi likes to look at the back of a guys baseball card (position players) and for pitchers, it seems more of what have you done for me lately?
I’d like to see position players have to earn the right to start too. I think we’d see a couple of changes right about now, regardless of salary.

Braves record against .500 or better teams this year 25-28. It’s a good thing Arizona is still above .500. The good news is we play our next 7 games against two above .500 teams. Not including today’s game.

In their line-up today the Braves have 4 “easy” outs and no team can win that way. I understand you can have a short stop that does defense and you take his offense when you get it. But you CANNOT have a catcher and a second baseman joining the pitcher to make 4 easy outs at the bottom of he batting order and beat any team with remotely decent pitching. McCann needs to shut up, sit down and get better. Ugla needs to sit beside him in the dug out, move Prado to second and put Johnson in left. At least we might get hits from Ross or Johnson or we will lose at least 7 of the upcoming games on the road and start the treck towards a repeat of last year when McCann could not hit, but no one sat him down.

Take Minor out of the rotation in September, regardless of how well he does we don’t score for him.
Braves have scored only 21 runs in Minor’s last 7 starts. Minor has allowed 12 ER in that same span. BUT we lost 4 out of the 7 games.

Walker’s just got to shake his head sometimes. Freeman, Uggla, McCann — when they get in the mindset of trying to hit the ball 500 feet this team loses consistently.
Like to see those 3 — maybe even throw in Francisco — take a Wunderlich test.

I mean, he only leads NL 2B in HR. And leads the Braves in HR since he came over. Nothing screams “BUST” more than hitting a bunch of dingers
And he also leads the world in failure. Keep on digging and maybe you’ll find something that’ll make you all warm an fuzzy about Uggla being on this team and draining the budget of resources.

The last thing I want to do is over-extend my critical senses–however, it just appears to me that when we play a ‘top calibre team,’ we struggle…..everytime it seems. And also, I just don’t feel–outside of Chipper—we have many guys with an air of confidence…..i.e., no real greatness. Of course JeyHey and Prado are special…..I think you guys know where I’m coming from in general.

Minor has shaken off Mac’s pitch calls quite a few times.
He’s pitching extremely well, three or four bad pitches.
Needs some offensive help, fortunately he leads off this inning.

Because the Braves management insist on playing him and regardless of he is 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th he has left more than his share of runners.
Why not let him try and draw his walk and get driven in which could happen rather than having him in an rbi spot and having to drive in others, which hasn’t happened nearly enough.
The 2 hitter may hit once more than the bottom. Thats it.
My solution would not be my choice but I’m trying to give a solution that includes Uggla because obviously he isn’t going to have to sit in favor of someoine else.

In Minors previous 7 starts he’s pitched 44 innings with a 2.45 ERA (Only 12 ER) But has lost 4 of those starts. Braves only able to score 21 runs for him over that stretch. The trend continues.
Today 6 Innings 1 ER, but same results so far. In line for the Loss.

We are not scoring runs anymore.
Uggla messed up stranding two LOB after the Heyward triple got some energy in the crowd.
Than, Freddie takes a W and then that disgraceful BUMB Uggla mucks it up, this team cannot socre runs and they are losers and BUMBS again.
Uggla sucks, he is the worst player in the history of the league. I’d rather have Janish at the plate than Uggla. Jansih is a better hitter than Uggla.

And BTW leading 2nd basemen in homers is an overrated stat since 2nd base is NOT an offensive/power position by any means. Big deal.
He does get on base through walks but you really think that’s what he makes that MASSIVE paycheck for? We want him to bat 4th between Heyward and Freeman and it’s an epic fail so far.

Too bad that Minor is pitching is such tough luck, he has really worked to straighten his season out, got better and these BUMBS must drill donut holes in their bats when he pitches.

Cisco is your third baseman for 2013 and that will not be a bad thing.
Warm up to him cause he has worked his way to earning a job and the OBP will get a bit better.
I say he can do a .320 to .340 OBP, the kid is working hard to improve his game.
