Not such a good game plan tonight. There is something encouraging about being a team that can ambush some of the best pitchers in baseball but it is very disconcerning how we can be dominated by pitchers that are struggling. It doesn’t mean we suck as a team it just means we are our own worst enemy. Oh well, let’s hope it stays close until the 7th.
The Love for Sheets is turning to Hate faster than you can say “Georgia Cracker”! Wasn’t but a week ago he was the “second coming of JC” for some Braves fans.
Sheets was selfish he knew if he walked Hanley then he would been lifted from the game so he decided to throw 3-0 down the middle. However I think even a 3-1 defecit was too much for us to overcome today so atleast being down 6-1 we can move on and do other things instead of watching the game with hope
Hello everyone! Sheets wasn’t bad, but location. Might have to take one with the team tonight. It is what it is, and nothing we can do about it, but keep watching the game.
Our best 3 are Hudson Malholm and Medlen and lucky we have those 3 going vs the Nationals. We just have to hope that the Mets win today and that tmr somehow we win.
We win 2 out of 3 then we can bring be within 3 games of the Nationals should things not change.
Question to ask if you’re a Brave…..if this was Wash. we are playing, how do we proceed? This lead is not insurmountable…..and, if it were DC, the mindset must be….WE CAN.
So now with this horrible performance by Sheets very fresh in the minds of Fredi and Frank, Minor has a chance to go out tomorrow and show them both why they need to keep him in the rotation. But I’m betting he can’t and won’t do that. Any chance we could go from a six man to a four man rotation?
Correcto, Mr. Ward. Heck, been a good run. Wash this one out and get over it. Ah, Ben Sheets has done us good. Gave us a lift. He’s still in April, I figure. And this is one game.
Since this game went down the Sheeter, I kinda wanted to see Benny throw some more batting practice fastballs to at least help out my Fantasy Teams with Kemp and Ethier.
DOB: were every one of the HRs off of fastballs? Or were any off of his trademark curve. He seems to be hesitant to throw the curve except as an out pitch.
