With Kris pitching well, Janish grabbing just about everything right now, and the Braves playing good ball, do they dare take a chance of messing up the “chemistry” (or whatever) when Hudson and Simmons get activated?

Congrats, Braves. For the Cory non-supporters. He may not be in Atlanta next year, but he will most likely will be pitching for someone else because there are seven other major league teams interested in him. He may not have the flash of other relievers, but he gets the job done and now has a .96 ERA. How many relievers can say that? I defend him because I know the character this kid has which is why I cheer so hard for him. He has not forgotten where he came from and freely gives back to the community that gave to him. I thought some of you needed to know.

‘82, phil. I didn’t go to school there, though. Just had a lot of discussion with the coaches, visited the campus, etc. One of the best players in the state played on my team, so we got a lot of college coaches at our games, and sometimes I’d catch the eye of one of the small school guys, on a good night.

But I had other options (not BB related) and decided not to go to school there just so I could ride the bench … regret it a little. Probably would’ve been fun. Nice place.

You are dead on. But I can see Fredi staying with the 6 man rotation while the schedule is full and also to get some of the other guys a little more rest.

Got a feeling that’s how it will go down. Well, not the loss part, necessarily, but that Hanson will take Meds’ place. But, coming off the DL, Fredi can have Hanson on a short leash if he gets into trouble and bring Medlen in if needed.

I don’t like the 6-man rotation either. These guys spend their entire lives training for a 5 day rotation. An extra day off might have unintended consequences. Plus, you do thin the ‘pen, and give your best pitchers (whoever that is, LOL) less starts.

I don’t care too much which way it goes, but I think Fredi’s got to make the tough decision and move one of them to the pen.

Meds being a little bold and making it known what he likes to do.

Should be a no brainer but you never know…

If you have to have a game won and its between Minor, Hanson, or Meds – I’m giving the nod to Meds. Good command and control. Rarely misses in the middle of the plate. 91 to 92 on the black in and out. 79 to 82 change in spots and tonight a nifty curve used a lot more often.

Yep, I like him right where he is and I bet the other position players do to. He is a lot like Sheets. He gets it, throws it. No messing around out there.
