I thought Mac’s shoulder was the injuried body part…he was running slower than molases flowing uphill on a cold day. Any slower, and he would have been backing up.

Not including the 24 million the Mets paid Santana is 2012, they also owe him another 25.5 million in 2013, along with a 5.5 million buyout for 2014.

If my math is correct, that’s 35 million for a pitcher who just got torched for eight runs in less than two innings of work. Yowzers!

Man, I was wrong on Freddie Freeman a couple yrs ago when he had his off yr in Mississippi in AA when he hit .248 with 8 HR.

I did not expect that kind of power.

Freddie has great hands at first but the range factor will rate him lower than most first basemen.

Still do not get his below 2 WAR rating, that does not make sense. You and I both know that Freddie is more than 2 games better than your typical replacement player.

Heard that on the broadcast. I hate the NYY but they do make the best of their dumsta dives like Freddie Garcia and they did get milage out of Bartolo Colon last yr.

Lowe prolly has a couple or three big gaes down the stretch for them. Might even beat the incompently run Boston Dead Sux twice if not more. That is the RS luck.

And I am typed out on the FW posts, he is an excellent GM and that is where I stand. His record does not really need defending.

Much more good than bad.

And our scouts and baseball ops people who answer to FW are among the best.

Meds definitely deserves a spot in the rotation. I really hope they find a way to keep him in there. I wonder what will happen if Tommy comes back and gets hammered or struggles with control in his first start back from the DL? I would hope Tommy is removed from the rotation, but I have a feeling that unless he approaches the level of atrocity that Jurrjens reached he will be in the rotation and Meda will be backup the ‘pen. That would be really disappointing.
