Stick it up your behind, retard.
Hudson is gutless.
Not Fredi’s fault Huddy imploded. I’m no big Fredi fan, but a veteran like Hudson should be able to get through 7 innings with a big lead like that.
Shocking – the whining crying babies show their colors as soon as adversity strikes – not that I am implying that this is wrong – I enjoy the merriment your misery provides…
I’m not usually a manager ripper, but you can not watch Hudson throw all those high pitches for an inning and more and leave him out there.
August 8th, 20128:59 pm
WHAT THE HELL FREDIE GONZALEZ? PITCHER DUE UP 3RD IN THE INNING AND YOU TAKE OUT AVILAN? COME ON??? WHAT THE HELL? DOES HE HAVE PITCHERS TO BURN? CAN ANY1 TELL ME WHAT FREDI IS DOING?
since when o the braves are in position for automatic win?
kinda early to be zipping through the pen Fredo
Glad I am a Nats fan now. A fan a real baseball eam.
Absolutely could not believe Fruti let Hudson pitch to Howard, I was sitting here shakeing my head saying you stupid SOB, I can’t believe your leaving him in there the BAM, just as I feared, STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID, fire that idiot.
August 8th, 20129:00 pm
Veer: writing in all caps doesn’t help.
80 wins gets you in the playoffs?
This team won’t SNIFF a playoff spot!
Fredi why did you leave Hudson in the game? you have to believe the back of the bubble gum card.
GUTLESS – what a sniveling comment that is…
August 8th, 20129:01 pm
Glad I am a Nats fan now. A fan a real baseball eam.
Yeah, a team that’s only now doing well. Have fun brother.
We’re still winning this game. But it ain’t worth the pain to scroll past all the Negative Nellies.
somebody(DOB?) needs to pass the word along to Freddie that Hudson has blown three big leads and is no longer an auto-win with a lead.
Fredi can recycly his quote from the last ball game. The ball was out over the plate, he is a big boy, WEHAVE SEEN THAT BEFORE.
venice jim shocking you made a comment like this
i will whine bitch complain whatever
IT IS WHAT IT IS
I’d rather have Yanish pitch than Gearrin.
When Howard fouled off two weak Hudson meatballs, I knew it was going to be a home run if he kept throwing them. And of course he did. Our stupid manager could not see that.
Why waste 2 pitchers in this situation? in the 5th inning of the game? with pitchers spot due 3rd? anyone have answer
I sure hope Sheets’ arm holds up and he continues pitching well. But if he doesn’t, the worst thing that could’ve happend was him pitching so well before the trade deadline and make Wren think he can take over as ace of the staff. It prevented him from going out and acquiring Greinke or maybe even pull off a surprising trade for an ace.
August 8th, 20129:02 pm
he’s just short
McCann catches that.
Bourn saved CG there…. nice job though Cory, you got the out.
Bourn! pay that man his 18 million for each of 6 years
Braves are fine. Nationals won’t play the Astros every game for the rest of the season (although it does seem like they haven’t played a competitive team in 3 weeks). I am pretty disappointed in Hudson though. Have to take this game & he lays an egg like this? C’mon man. What a joke.
ALSO I HAVE MORE OF A LIFE THAN TO SIT ON A BLOG ALL DAY
TO EACH IS OWN
no fan – I am not saying you should not – I would be shocked if you were not a miserable hater of the Braves…
August 8th, 20129:03 pm
Michael Bourn baby…..Yeah dont want to take a risk of signing that! ROFL! Who said signing him was risky? ROFL! Dont sign him. He can stay in ATL until he retires and whip the Phillies along the way….
ok offense 0-0 game and the best news is…they cant pitch hamels tonight so lets do this!!
Stupid Braves will not score another run and LOSE.
We’re still winning this game.
Technically, we’re not. Unless you saying that we still will win this game.
Yes Hudson blew another lead and let the Cards tie the game up, but the Braves eventually won the game.
August 8th, 20129:04 pm
“We Wish You A Merry Christmas, We Wish You A Merry Christmas……………
AND A Happy New Year!
(It’s Xmas in August for the Phillies)
they won’t sign him
SNEAKY PETE – are you s\saying he should take Hudson out as soon as a runner gets on base with a lead?
That’s exactly why you do what you have to in order to keep him. He’s been the best all around player for us this year by far.
can we try working the count boys…maybe at least 2 pitches
August 8th, 20129:05 pm
I SEE THE DRUNKS ARE OUT TONITE
COCAINE IS BETTER BY THE WAY
VENCIE JIM EACH HAS OWN OPINION DONT LIKE IT DONT READ IT
Ron White says it best – “you can’t fix stupid”. That applies to our manager. No matter how any fans grumble or even a player or media hints that he’s not so sharp, he doesn’t get it. Stupid cannot be fixed.
Stupid Braves will not score another run and LOSE
nc fan – an an amazing inability to find the caps lock key…
so what, he still blew the lead after they were bragging on how he does not do that
August 8th, 20129:06 pm
“they won’t sign him”
He’ll probably sign with the team that can spend the money, the Phillies.
Thatta boy hudson way to go
That was ugly, Janish.
One Big Dummy
A lotta y’all act like Huddy has never been any good. Take a deep breath.
ask if it was a strike????? hahaha
yeah janish the plate is now 3 ft wide
August 8th, 20129:07 pm
Missed the whole comeback effort….and, I dpn’t hear anyone ‘tipping.’ Pissed too I am that we seem to allow HOWARD to get pitches he can drive……Fredi, i’m sure….had his tuchus firmly planted throughtout the ‘better yank him now or else’ phase.
Line on Hudson: 4 1/3 innings, six hits, 6 ER, two homers, three walks, four Ks. 87 pitches (58 strikes)
Mr. Strikeout up
that was normal for the braves
Bullpen Game…..who got better Pen Tonight
rex ryan looks good in a braves uni
August 8th, 20129:08 pm
Is Jason Giambi Avaliable. I like Hinske alot but he looks finished
That POS Hinske always strikesout. Dump him.
Hinske has been useless for a while now. Good clubhouse guys are very important to the Braves, apparantly.
August 8th, 20129:09 pm
now just where did you see anything like that VJ?
but he threw 30 pitches the inning before many of which were high, and he started right back with the high stuff the next inning.
It is pretty obvious when he loses it, and Howard does own him.
So in this case i would not have had him pitch to Ryan
this is ballgame!!!!!!!
that guy has just forgotten how to hit….what happen to hinskie? he used to be a reliable hitter of the bench
The momentum is clearly on the Phillies side of the field. The Braves seem finished.
maybe we start just winning on monday’s now.
Maybe one of the phillies beat writers will ask Fredi why he left Hudson in the game
August 8th, 20129:10 pm
LOL…. that was harsh man, but funny.
Still annoyed that Huddy was kept in when he was struggling, but anyways, that’s over, and the game’s only tied…. we can still win.
I guess its best that we lose getting into the playoffs now rather than a late Sept swoon.
DFA HINSKI……Bring Book Conrad
August 8th, 20129:11 pm
I can’t think of a situation where Hinske should enter a game for the Atlanta Braves.
Durbin’s 55th appearance. Keep running him out there Fredi.
kool aid rinkers and sheep people
fat fredi and mcdowell do nothing, not even a visit to the mound
u think johnson leaves strausburg in??
I posted earlier today about Gearrin. He is a wreck waiting to happen! Last three hitters he has faced..line drive rocket for a hit…deep fly ball to the wall in left, then tonight a deep fly ball to the wall in center! The only person he seems to be fooling is Fredi!
Fredi on pace to burn the entire bullpen tonight, it appears.
August 8th, 20129:12 pm
columbus go take a look at how carol crawford is working out in boston. plus bourn was born in 1982. how long a deal you giving this kat?
Yeah, it is over. Let’s go Bravos!!!
August 8th, 2012
rex ryan looks good in a braves uni
Still annoyed that Huddy was kept in when he was struggling, but anyways, that’s over, and the game’s only tied…. we can still win
hows that hope and change working out for ya
Durbin just gained some respect in my eyes after pushing Martinez
boy they are tatooing our pitchers .
August 8th, 20129:13 pm
JC Brave – Fredi on pace to burn the entire bullpen tonight, it appears.
Off day tomorrow. Guess he feels like he has more freedom.
just once i’d like to see us pitch around the other teams best hitter in a critical situation. JUST ONCE! instead of giving up yet another game tying or go ahead HR to ______________.
(fill in the blank: Ryan Howard, A. Pujols, Barry Bonds… it never ends.)
August 8th, 20129:14 pm
rex ryan lost over 100 lbs.
fat fredi, mcann, heinske ask where is the buffet at?
The A Bomb
Gonzalez’s inability to treat everyone the same kills this team. He gives the vets (too) long leashes and fails to recognize when they’ve lost it.
Continues to prove he’s the wrong choice to lead a young team getting younger. Every time he pushes a button something malfunctions.
tmc – there were runners on 1st and 2nd – how do you propose to ‘pitch around’ Howard in that situation??? Oh, and only one out.
August 8th, 20129:15 pm
Hudson is hurting this year. He has guts, so I don’t know where people get the idea he’s a wimp. Ignorant thing to say. Thing is that he is a feel type pitcher. His stuff isn’t as sharp I think because of his ankle. He also being little wears down as the season wears on.
i dont remember when i have been so pleasantly surprised in a guy as i have been in durbin…i really thought he was going to be a blackhole but he has been awesome!!
Pardon? Is it wrong to be positive?
Off day tomorrow…. doesn’t matter too much.
Me neither…. guy’s looked done for a while now.
nats will do something braves cant
SWEEP THE ASTROS
August 8th, 20129:16 pm
braves should still win this. but this phillies bp has been some what reliable lately.
Wow, I had so much wisdom, it had to be posted twice!
CTB at 9:15: Agree with ya.
Even though Hudson was obviously struggling, he usually gets out of those situations and limits damage. Tonight – he didn’t. Not the manager’s fault entirely, but the pitches up in the 4th and 5th inning should have been a warning sign for Fredi.
August 8th, 20129:17 pm
Rex Ryan just proves that even if he loses 100 lbs…..an idiot is still an idiot.
except for this dude. long ball/walk central.
Guarantee y’all that after the game Fredi will dodge all questions about leaving Hudson in and talk instead about no lead being safe in this ballpark.
All you guys and girls will be sorry when Fredi is named mangler of the year.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
