This is skewed a little because McCann has played more but if you’re wondering why Ross seems to be playing more lately…..

David Ross .284 .371 .490 .861 130 OPS+ 40 games

B. McCann. .241 .316 .447 . 763 103 OPS+ 88 games

Ross 35, McCann 28. Ross better in every phase of defense and throwing.

And remember that if you sign McCann you are going to have to spend significant money on a backup since the backup will have to start about 50 to 60 games.

Chipper only leads the team in most offensive categories and is hitting well over 300. Yeah send him home. Who needs a switch hitting contact hitter who has seen most every pitcher in the league and owns them….Now with the current lead, it wouldnt be a bad idea to rest him but anyone who does not appreciate the year the 40 year old Chipper Jones is having, nor his contributions to the team or the batting order is baseball ignorant and/or a hater and that is a fact.

Listened to one caller on the Angels’ postgame show, who placed a great deal of blame on Jared Weaver – for not teaching all of the other pitchers his change up. He also vowed to commit suicide if Earvin Santana threw another slider…

galaraga is pathetic thank god for his lost no hitter.

That’s not nice at all…. btw, he lost a perfect game, not a no-hitter… He didn’t deserve to lose it. Writing in all caps makes you look bright too.

They were able to make the Braves look like a AAA club last Saturday. Expecting them to take at least ONE game from the Gnats is not like asking for a miracle.
