The Braves capped an 8-2 homestand by beating Houston 6-1, with Kris Medlen turning it a strong pitching performance and Chipper Jones, David Ross and Paul Janish getting key hits. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s David O’Brien reports from Turner Field.

For sure I’d take Medlen over either Hanson or Maholm’s 86-87 MPH fastball in the starting rotation.

And for those suggesting Hanson in relief, how could you bring him in with runners on base

My rotation if the playoffs started today:

Hudson
Sheets
Minor or Medlin, depending on the opponent

And if it came down to a one game wild card playoff and your options were Hanson, Medlin or Maholm, who gets the nod….the Bulldog!
