Well or he will pop up……
Way to hustle catcher. Cost us a run.
Yes – he popped up, but HE IS ON 2ND – the man does hustle
Houston Astros. Double- A baseball at its finest.
Got the hit but HR coming soon
The A Bomb
I actually feel bad for Brad Mills.
Houston, you have a problem.
That’s a hit? That’s why errors are a stupid metric.
Uggla goes yard…right here/right now
Not a HR, but that’s definitely something!!
one of the biggest jokes of RBI doubles I have seen.
Nice to see that Uggla was hustling the whole way though
August 3rd, 20128:49 pm
uggla with a line drive . he is lost
more power at the bottom of our lineup there
The scorer gave Uggla a hit. Hilarious. He’s about 10 points above the Mendoza line.
August 3rd, 20128:50 pm
Chippa with all them RBI doubles. musta stole them from Mac
That would NOT have been a hit on the road. Believe me.
August 3rd, 20128:51 pm
The guy lost it in the stars….on “Star Wars Night.”
August 3rd, 20128:52 pm
That was a nice gift double for Uggla. I would imagine that will be changed later in the game.
on the road they have full complement of light standards and that would likely not happen, and it looked like he never touched the ball. standard call anywhere when a fielder loses the ball and never touches it
August 3rd, 20128:53 pm
Go back, Joe. Houston has a AAA affiliate? I thought Houston was the AAA affiliate.
August 3rd, 20128:54 pm
give them back all huddy, keep it interesting….
@JCBrave……Re: Uggs….He’s gonna come out of it soon—I just feel it in my bones.
Huddy just ain’t the same no more.
Here we go with Hudson struggling against the AA Astros.
Somebody used the force to get that pop up to drop
August 3rd, 20128:55 pm
Hudson got the ground ball – just hit to a good spot. Doesn’t look like he’s very sharp tonite though.
August 3rd, 20128:56 pm
August 3rd, 2012
Does Damon have anything left? At least he’s not fat.
all that matters!
Hey Hudson, how about a 3-Run HR now? You up for it? Give it up! Come on!
August 3rd, 20128:57 pm
nice play all around
Janish!!!!!!!!! Good play, now tack on some runs.
Janish is better defenisvely then Jack Wilson
August 3rd, 20128:58 pm
Good play by Janish.
August 3rd, 20128:59 pm
funny reading doubled to shortstop on the boxscore
August 3rd, 20129:00 pm
That’ll look like a line drive off the wall in the box score.
I’d prefer Timmy didn’t run the bases.
August 3rd, 20129:01 pm
Wayne – Bourn granted your wish…
August 3rd, 20129:03 pm
I like that guy!
Wow is Bourn fast!!!!! Nice rip for MARTEEEEEEEEEEEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fast as a bullet–Bourn
Bourn a mean motor scooter…
We Need To SIGN BOURN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
August 3rd, 20129:04 pm
So, who thinks the day off might have done Prado some good????
August 3rd, 20129:05 pm
Jason getting fooled some tonight
The Braves are excellent at running the bases. They always aggressive on the base paths with scoring from first on doubles and going first to third on singles.
August 3rd, 20129:06 pm
Bourn is fast ,damn
Heyward’s lookin’ overmatched…c’mon Chipper.
since they are bragging on Jason and Michael now would be a good time to tell them that Uggla leads the league in scoring from first
August 3rd, 20129:09 pm
Buffet Brian is again hitless…..
What does it all mean?
August 3rd, 20129:11 pm
“Dead Team Walking” on way to losing a duece vs Nats tonite! Ozzie should be shipped over to Cuba to coach the beard’s team! MERCY
August 3rd, 20129:13 pm
Chipper’s fault we never got Miggy?
Well done, Tim…
August 3rd, 20129:14 pm
slow comment night….we must be winning
The never ending comedy stylings of Mr Fatty continue…what a japester…
August 3rd, 20129:15 pm
Hudson at 74 pitches – probably has 2 innings left. Be nice if he could go 8 though.
What the hell are the Marlins doing? Can’t help us?
Marlins or the Astros may not win 15 games the rest of the year.
Hudson appears to be settling down. Him going 7 or 8 innings would be quite useful.
Phil – I think with Uggla starting to hit it would be better for the base running if Uggla hit 6th and McCann 7th. I read today that Uggla had the highest percentage of scoring from first on a double in MLB. McCann hits a lot of doubles and it only makes sense to swap the two.
August 3rd, 20129:16 pm
JHey is a complete player. They don’t grow on trees, people.
August 3rd, 20129:20 pm
Astros sent Jennings down after leaving him in there for that bombardment last night. Thats a bush league way of doing business and treating people. May explain why they are in the shape they are now as a club and an organization.
That was one UGGLY AB.
Dan is on fire
August 3rd, 20129:21 pm
Josh Johnson singles on a sharp line drive to right fielder Bryce Harper.
Maybee the fish can get something going.
teams do that all the time Mark, they can’t get any use out of him for days and had a double header . no surprise to me at all. Braves have done the same
August 3rd, 20129:22 pm
Uggla just has to try and pull everything. That looks like all he’s thinking about. Maybe he should try and cutting down on his swing and think the other way until he can get things going again. Then he can go and pull away like he always has.
Here’s a thought….Chipper still hits at a high level. Since he just got divorced and assuming his family life allows for it, why not sign him for a one year deal…say at $5-6 million and use him as a spot starter at 3rd and 1st to give Prado and Freeman rest and use him as a pinch hitter off the bench?
I mean he says he loves the game…and how much hunting can you do???
Donovan Solano singles on a sharp ground ball to right fielder Bryce Harper. Josh Johnson to 2nd.
August 3rd, 20129:24 pm
Has anyone ever seen Uggla make that throw? I can’t remember if he has, but I’ve seen him throw it away a bunch this season.
Jose Reyes singles on a sharp ground ball to right fielder Bryce Harper. Josh Johnson to 3rd. Donovan Solano to 2nd.
errors just hurt me
Dan Uggla is an idiot. He had no chance to throw out Francisco and then he proceeds to make one of his terrible throws into the Braves bullpen allowing Francisco to advance. What an idiot.
Huddy is really stll not all that sharp, I wonder if the foot is hurting
how was that first pitch to Wallace a ball
Carlos Lee singles on a line drive to center fielder Roger Bernadina. Josh Johnson scores. Donovan Solano scores. Jose…
August 3rd, 20129:25 pm
Greg Dobbs singles on a soft line drive to left fielder Michael Morse. Jose Reyes scores. Carlos Lee to 2nd.
pour it on fish!!!!!!!
August 3rd, 20129:26 pm
Well, the error by Uggla counteracts his booming double. All square.
HEY!!! You don’t expect me to soar above .211 & also field do you>>??? (Folks…he sucks)
August 3rd, 20129:27 pm
No Joe Simpson – the re-direction didn’t hurt NEARLY as much as the poor throw by Uggla – that was the error!!
Think Joe loves him some Uggla
Darn Uggla cost the Braves a run with his stupidity.
Still 4-0 us?
And what is the marlins score?
“why not sign him for a one year deal”
because he’d turn it down. He may still love the game but also says he is tired of the living out of suitcases. He’s set on retiring and nothing is going to change his mind
August 3rd, 20129:28 pm
Ben Maller @benmaller
Nats Bryce Harper batting .179 since All-Star Break 1 HR, 4 RBI’s, Halos Mike Trout hitting over .367 with 7 HR’s and 17 RBI’s.
man up and get over it
mid 6 Mia 3 – 1 or gNats.
I don’t remember the Braves ever leaving a guy out there to take a pounding and then sending him down. But, if you say they did I’m sure I just missed that one. If I do see them treat someone like that though in the future i’ll point out that in my opinion the Braves have resorted to bush league behavior as well!
August 3rd, 20129:29 pm
3-1 fish in the 6th
marlins have to hang on
I suppose the Braves will PH for Huddy – still, 6 innings of pretty good pitching considering he didn’t seem to have his best game today, but the BP could’ve used more rest.
August 3rd, 20129:30 pm
