I love the way the Braves have been grinding out at bats over the past few weeks. They have been pretty patient all year, but recently their quality of at bat has improved a great deal.
You’re right ACE. Win tonight and we’ve got a great chance to catch the gNats in the next two weeks. We play Houston, Philly, Mets, and San Diego the next four series. Time to make a move.
Thank you, Carroll for an excellent column with REAL good info, including Gilmartin’s first AAA start. He will be an excellent addition to the rotation down the road. Fredi’s not the only one, as I am a HUGE Gattis fan. Kid’s a great story, and that is exactly the kind of guy you want making it – especially with the Braves. I feel bad for Wilson, but his active days are quite over; however, I am sure he will be an excellent bench presence, but little more.
Let’s just say if this game was playing in Gwinnett the sun would be beaming down and no threat of rain at all. Just one cell over top of the metro right now..
In my fandom, the Braves are my # 1 love. Unfortunately, I have a football mentality that does not jibe well with the baseball vibe. That said, after last night’s crappy hitting debacle, I love what the Braves are doing now – slaughtering an inferior team like the rotting pieces of fish they are.
