1924 was the last time a baseball team in Washington won the World Series. With that in mind Natomaniax, please come back when you have something intellegent to say.
Joe in SoCal
Then their asleep by 10:30. Kinda like your nats. this year.

Tom Hart @tom_hart
When packing his #Cubs locker, Reed Johnson realized he had the wrong blue. He grabbed his glove and left. He’s wearing Uggla’s shoes now.
The Cubs’ haul from the trades of Dempster, Paul Maholm, Reed Johnson and Geovany Soto over the past few days netted one major prospect in Arodys Vizcaino, who once healthy will be the best pitching prospect in their system, as well as a solid quantity of organizational prospect depth. – Keith Law
I’ve never seen so many people this excited over the aquistion of a #4 starter and a bench bat.
Keith Law is exactly right, the Braves are only just a little better.
It’s not like we landed any superstars here.
July 31st, 20127:04 pm
Let’s go Medlen! Let’s go Cliff Lee……….
Medlen looks like such a dork….
I love the flat bill…. my kind of hat!
July 31st, 20127:05 pm
Yeah cause Keith Law knows baseball. Didn’t he say Freddie Freeman was garbage?
Oh good grief, really Chip Caray! this azzclown wouldn’t make PBS here in Washington DC.
July 31st, 20127:06 pm
Pat..thats just it..we didn’t need any superstars..just a couple of quality pieces. now we got’em.
Flat bills look stupid and unbaseball
Some people apparently get paid to bitch and moan no matter what…
July 31st, 20127:07 pm
Medlen looks like the community pervert that hides cameras in the girls room
July 31st, 20127:08 pm
Bob Carpenter isnt much better……..
Flat bills look stupid and unbaseball stylish/cool and totally baseball.
July 31st, 20127:09 pm
lets not get too cocky. baseball gods hate cocky
Gagagaga, can Fredi say anything in context?
July 31st, 20127:10 pm
keep picking guys that look the part there maniax…you’ll have a great team in no time.
Natomaniax: You’re really irritating.
July 31st, 2012
Because the depth they add was a dire need.
Sheets was a huge addition ,Bench bat that can play any OF position is a big pick up.A solid starter for the middle of the rotation…..Great job Frank!!!!
Medlen FARTS in the clubhouse
July 31st, 20127:11 pm
Flat bills look stupid and unbaseball stylish/cool and totally baseball
there I fixed that for you
medlen farts in your general direction.
Gio Gonzalez looks like Pepie La Pu chasing Possems.
July 31st, 20127:12 pm
betting he is a blog regular….
Meds starts the game with strike 1 and 2. And on pitch number 3 he gets a groundout. Nice!
Jerry Crasnick @jcrasnick
The non-waiver trade deadline is over and we can all exhale .. in anticipation of 15 more trades in August. #itneverends
Lordy! you guys have a tortured existance, Chip Caray,Fredi Gonzalez,Joe Simpleton, Ron Gant speak clearly, and that Dipstick Jaroooome Jurrrrrrrenob.i.t.ch
July 31st, 20127:13 pm
Gio..really?…guy was named after the worst GM car in history.
Meds blows…. DFA the bum
He was hitting .164……..
Wren put the GM speak on the trade but truth be told this is NOT the trade he or any of the Braves envisioned. Not even close. We settled for what we could get. Will it be enough? The next two months will tell. We gave up basically nothing despite what many on this blog suggest as the next coming of Cy Young. It was a great trade for Wren but not the #1 we need. Again, maybe it’s enough this year. It won’t be enough going forward.
Oh really Uggs? After that great stop you had to throw it away…. nice try anyway
July 31st, 20127:14 pm
Ther’s you gritty snuff dippin nasty azz Dan Uggla … what a damn ballplayer!
Shut the front door!
We still have a chance to win the series.
Those kind of stats don’t apply in Braves’ baseball.
July 31st, 20127:15 pm
Medlen should be in AA.
This blog should be suspended during the game……mindless chatter.
As the late Skip Carey would say..” An inauspicious start”
Minor is in the rotation as well. The starters have been overwhelmed by M’s.
M’s and high 80’s fastballs. Gotta love it.
July 31st, 20127:16 pm
Good job Meds.
told y’all the baseball gods hate cocky….
One run. We can get over that. But the D has to be better.
Damn, Uggla almost blew the DP, what a joke!
July 31st, 20127:17 pm
Why? You don’t like my sarcasm? lol
actually, he is much much worse.
alright..not the worst start.
BALLGAME!!!! Meds is not our savior afterall
July 31st, 20127:18 pm
Dadgum, it might not be enough for the future, but that’s why Wren has many really good pitching prospects at his disposal for trade in the offseason. He can go out and get a top starter then.
Natomaniax, you must be feeling good that your team is in first place, for once. Hopefully, D.C. can keep them longer than they kept the Senators.
nolie, hope you didn’t take me too seriously earlier. My apologies if my comments were out of place. I just can’t stand trading one of the Latin trio….
July 31st, 20127:19 pm
We are better hands than your crummy Braves
July 31st, 20127:20 pm
Saw this from someone’s post earlier who dug it up. Thought it was worth repeating. Maholm is 5-0 against the NL EAST so far this year, but has not faced the Nationals yet. He allowed no HRs and only 3 runs in those 5 starts. However, for some reason he is 6-7 against the rest of the NL. Good thing is that the Braves have more games left against the NL East than vs the rest of the league.
July 31st, 20127:21 pm
CTB….the offseason will come and everyone will have a heart attack about trading any young pitcher. It never changes.

nah Efrim. we is just fine on my side
I see that public school system in DC has paid dividends too.
bet they don’t score!
July 31st, 20127:22 pm
Come on Mac!!!
That was awesome!
Nice balk Nolasco. If McCann doesn’t homer here, he needs to be traded … has 6 homers and rakes against this guy
Fat Mac gidp!
July 31st, 20127:23 pm
I think the best part of the trade is Maholm’s option for next year. Gives us depth and opportunity to trade Hanson if he has a solid six weeks to close the season……
how ’bout another balk?
Joe in SoCal
True, but Natomaniax is getting PAID $5.25/hr for attending summer school – let’s hope it helps. He’s using the $ at his favorite internet cafe to TROLL on a baseball blog :maniac:
McCann looks like a weeble!
DP from where? The only force out is at first base, Natomaniax.
July 31st, 20127:24 pm
Well, he drove in a run at least…
Nice RBI, Mac.
One measly run? One stinkin run? I want more or tantrum time!
July 31st, 20127:25 pm
Watch out donuts he’s back in the dugout!
The 2 out RBI kid – c’mon
If Heyward doesn’t steal home, he doesn’t make the team next year…..
Bandwagon “Nats fans” don’t understand baseball, Trey
Hey, gNats troll, you’d have lost that bet, non-genius.
July 31st, 20127:26 pm
Frankenstein Freeman with the groundout
Those GEDs are hard to come by!
July 31st, 20127:27 pm
no, he was talking to a guy named Fat Mac in his internet chat room…and the dp he was referring to was something else entirely.
Well, is Uggla really breaking out of it? Now would be a good time to prove it
It’s Uggla time! How about a ‘tater… the guy is getting hot, hasn’t struck out in last 6 PA… hitting .286 in last 2 games
July 31st, 20127:28 pm
Oh well Uggla the ogre will strike out!
I am surprised we didn’t make a move for a reliever with the Hanson situation…
Freeman has had some great AB’s lately. Much more patient than before. Good to see.
Just got on the blog but the Dodgers got a lot better today. Victorino at the top will really compliment that order. Don’t know what they gave up but that’ll be good for them the rest of the way
Walk this way
July 31st, 20127:29 pm
c’mon Uggs, we all believe in you
the inmates are allowed on the computers again I see…. not good.
July 31st, 20127:30 pm
TheOnlyBravesFan, that’s probably true. Hell, his district can barely keep a team. Anyway, he could have gotten a DP, still, but it’s harder if the only force out was at first, lol.
HIS NAME IS DAN UGGLA!
Bases loaded for the big K machine here… what’s he gonna do? Someone tell him to shape up before he gets to the plate and work hard.
July 31st, 20127:31 pm
Ok “all or nothin’” – park one here.
Walk THIS way
Sorry, the District.
Damn! Joe Simpson sounds like he wants a ride in Uggla’s jockstrap!
Mr Automatic-Out Francisco is up. all is lost
Wonder if any teams were asking about Juan
July 31st, 20127:32 pm
