DOB is there any way that Mac gives us a hometown discount on his new contract? I know we have a option that only increases his salary by half a mil or a mi in 2013l. I know we would prob like to sign him to an extension, but worst case he is still under contract next year. The hometown discount would allow us to sign Bourn long term. Bourn long-term IMO is a no brainer.

You have to tip your cap to Chipper on his retirement. He could have gotten 500 HR’s and passed Eddie Murray to have the most XBH for a switch hitter with another year (2013) under his belt.
He knew it was time and didn’t take the Braves money for a non CJ type of performance.

I know you don’t put the tying run on base but I wish we did a little better job of making guys that hurt us, and are hitting 358 or whatever it is now, hit tough pitches with a base open rather than putting balls down the middle with Nix due up.
Huddy did well though. Can’t be perfect with every pitch.

Uggla has been a good player in the majors for several years…..he is in a slump. They happen.
