Why the hate for Constanza, what has he ever done wrong?
Uggla cannot do the job anymore, Fredi should send him home and hope he comes back in ST and does better.
Prado at second is never a bad option, and you have to fill in LF with somebody.
Uggla has metamorphed into a bad MLB hitter and deserves to be Booed. How much longer do you wait?

MIBravesfan, got it. I do like Mikey…hope he is turning the corner. I am also torn over the Cubs trade…I like Delgado more than I do Teheran…from what I have seen. But, people who know a lot more about baseball than I do, seem to still like Julio better.
I wanted Greinke as I thought we had a legit shot to resign him, but understand not taking the gamble…to an extend. We are one of the youngest teams in baseball. A lot of our “prospects” are already helping the team. We need a true #1 to match up against the best, IMO.

Well, I just spent about 20 minutes reading the Philly blog – I think some of the same people must post over there
Saw a bunch of the same comments, only different names. . They seem to think this is a pretty good team playing in Atlanta – and they are disgusted w/coaching and management. Guess it’s the same all over – everyone wants to bitch.

Okay, here is a sober thought for you guys. We’ve all been through Uggla’s problems this year and so many have said that we shoul and have to play him so he’ll eventually come outta his slump. But what if we make the playoffs and he still is not hitting? Are you guys still in favor of playing him even though each one of his outs becomes magnified in a short series?
Interesting…. in that case, I might, MIGHT, consider it and let Rev or Yanish or or someone play 2nd… don’t really have a guy I’d feel all comfy with in left other than Prado.

Sheets when healthy was always a #1,if he stays healthy we have that shut down guy.With Meds in the starting rotation,the pitching is deeper.The bats are the problem,sacrifice a Chicken,leave rum( Lowe is gone now)Add Cuban Cigar.

Medlen is just what he is. No magic guy is coming out and throwiing 8 IP w/2 runs every 5th day.

I remember back in 1991, Sid Bream slumped really bad in the post season while Hunter and Lonnie Smith were doing well. Sid could have swallowed his pride and requested to be benched so that Hunter could play first base and Lonnie could play left and had more experience in the Metrodome than Hunter did, but he chose not to. I don’t wanna see Uggla playing in the post season if he is still struggling. We would need everybody clicking at the same time, or we’ll make an early exit like we have in our last few playoffs.

Dont worry. The Braves wont do anything other than minor moves. They dont have the money and they think every player we have in the minors is the next future all star. I was looking at the list of futures from one of the preseason magazines. Its amazing how so many are up in the majors this year. Well, except of course Teheran. He is still in the minors and really needs to go back to double A. Not good at all.
But has all the talent in the world. At least thats what our scouts say.

Consecutive tremendous starts from Sheets and Minor takes a lot of the pressure off of Wren. As long as Tim Hudson is Tim Hudson tomorrow, Wren will be disinclined to do anything desperate.
Still, if King Felix does wind up in play, that changes the math a lot.

Is Delgado going to start at some point? If Hanson falters–and he looks like the weak link in our rotation right now–I could see Delgado taking his spot. Delgado has been looking better lately, like Minor. I’m wondering if giving him a start might help us figure that out

PEARL, MS-The Mississippi Braves defeated the Mobile BayBears 7-3 to complete the series sweep Saturday night at Trustmark Park. With two outs in the top of the ninth, Cory Rasmus hit a batter, resulting in immediate ejection from the game. Mike Tarsi then came in to pitch and after a wild pitch to the next batter, Rossmel Perez came in to score. He took out Tarsi, who was covering the plate, and both benches cleared.
Braves catcher Christian Bethancourt, Braves third baseman Alden Carrithers, BayBears catcher Perez, and BayBears manager Turner Ward were all ejected from the game following the brawl. Tarsi remained in the game to record the final out and close the game.
Sounded like a fun game
