Jeff Baker or Reed Johnson of the Cubbies. Either one would work. And if you had Baker, he could play some second if Uggla doesn’t get it together soon.

Well, I just spent about 20 minutes reading the Philly blog – I think some of the same people must post over there Saw a bunch of the same comments, only different names. . They seem to think this is a pretty good team playing in Atlanta – and they are disgusted w/coaching and management. Guess it’s the same all over – everyone wants to bitch.
Okay, here is a sober thought for you guys. We’ve all been through Uggla’s problems this year and so many have said that we shoul and have to play him so he’ll eventually come outta his slump. But what if we make the playoffs and he still is not hitting? Are you guys still in favor of playing him even though each one of his outs becomes magnified in a short series?
Interesting…. in that case, I might, MIGHT, consider it and let Rev or Yanish or or someone play 2nd… don’t really have a guy I’d feel all comfy with in left other than Prado.
Sheets when healthy was always a #1,if he stays healthy we have that shut down guy. With Meds in the starting rotation, the pitching is deeper. The bats are the problem, sacrifice a Chicken, leave rum( Lowe is gone now)Add Cuban Cigar.

Hanson is in trouble. Will he walk one an inning? Will every runnrer run on him? Will he throw more balls or strikes. He’s matched up against the Marlins, so you know it’s coming,
Medlen is just what he is. No magic guy is coming out and throwiing 8 IP w/2 runs every 5th day.
Many more paragraphs full of questioons are coming soon.
I remember back in 1991, Sid Bream slumped really bad in the post season while Hunter and Lonnie Smith were doing well. Sid could have swallowed his pride and requested to be benched so that Hunter could play first base and Lonnie could play left and had more experience in the Metrodome than Hunter did, but he chose not to. I don’t wanna see Uggla playing in the post season if he is still struggling. We would need everybody clicking at the same time, or we’ll make an early exit like we have in our last few playoffs.
Gotta go to bed now. Not sure if I should puff out my chest or cry uncle. You folks confuse me so. Leaving town in the AM and will return Wednesday PM. Be good to each other…

In order to feel other players aren’t deserving then you must have standards to determine whether they are or not. What makes hitting 110 over the last 7 weeks deserving or 213 over the whole year deserving?

I’m getting less hopeful Jason, and there are guys available that I hope he doesn’t get. we’ll see. I’d about as soon ger a really good bench guy who can play fairly regularly id Uggs does not pick it up , and a better reliever than Bastista

We’d sing and dance forever and a day
We’d live the life we choose
We’d fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way
