Nice throw, Bourn
July 24th, 20127:32 pm
This team is frustrating beyond belief.
why in the world would Bourn give up a shot at free agency after have a career year and being the #1 CFer available?
Makeup call – Laz Diaz is one great ump /sarc/
Well–I’ll take it….but that guy is a real crummy Ump.
Laz Diaz makes up for that blown call against us a little with that. He was safe at the plate.
Diaz the ump is awful….paid us back there….
Ballgame!! Release Horrid Huddy!
You cannot walk a hitter especially after having him in an 0-2 hole. Luckily it didn’t hurt us as bad as it could have.
July 24th, 20127:33 pm
have to get better than that Hudson. You pretty much sucked in the first. So much for our short lead. Should feel fortunate that we aren’t losing………..yet!
July 24th, 20127:34 pm
believe he was safe..tag on knee with foot on plate. Make up call from last night.
July 24th, 20127:35 pm
Dan the Fan strikes again.
The column was about Dan……that Dan….that stat…..poo
There are no more words left in the dictionary to describe just how pitiful Uggla is at the plate.
One Big Dummy
July 24th, 20127:36 pm
@Kat: Well, we GO to work! (^;
so make up some Jerry
Sons of Rick Matula
How possibly does Laz Diaz keep his job? Oh, wait, don’t tell me.
July 24th, 20127:37 pm
That inning was a lesson in futility. It may be another long night for the Braves offense.
did he say good news Jack Wilson started AAA..LOL..forget JW
Dang went to get a drink from the fridge and missed the top of the 2nd inning…what is going on?
July 24th, 20127:38 pm
Can’t believe the Braves just had an 8 pitch inning! Offense has just disappeared. We did score a run (without a hit), but…..
Buerhle throws a ton of pitches in the first and we have to make it easy on him in the second. This has all the smell of a sweep.
Uggla is about to catch up with Conrad.
July 24th, 20127:39 pm
Reyes did it tonight too?
Leadoff bunts for hits – what a concept.
Can anyone tell me how Uggla made the all star team?
The only way Diaz stays employed is that every team knows that he gives and he takes. Bud Selig should be beyond embarrassed that the man is on his payroll.
Hugo Z Hackenbush
July 24th, 20127:40 pm
Teheran allows two runs in first inning. Think the Cubs would take him?
…don’t want to strain myself (Haw-haw)
elivtthy at Cip w the unt=uggla
nah what a buncha strawman bullcrap
What A Shame
Uggla is a sub par defender and a sub par bat. That’s not a recipe for winning ballgames.
Yeah you’re paying the guy 15 mil a year but makes no difference. If you can’t send him down to get straightened out, then bench him until he gets a clue.
The stats prove that he’s been a total bust for all but a couple of months as a Braves. If they are stuck with him, then at least be pro-active and call the shots on him. Letting him “swing it out” in the lineup has been a total FAIL. Change the method. Sit him down until he works it out otherwise.
Worthless Dan,,,another strike out. Worthless Dan, biggest bust in baseball. Brain dead. Head case. Keep running him out there, and run youself, and Worthless Dan out of Atlanta. Dan & Fredi…the worst thing to happen to Atlanta baesball. EVER.
The only untouchables on the Marlins are Reyes and Stanton John Heyman CBS Sports
Hanley Ramirez 3B. He’s expensive salary wise but would not cost a lot in trade. He’s into the last two years of the Marlins backloaded contract @ $31 for 13 and 14. Not a better baseball player out there. There is a better head but he will be 29 next year.
July 24th, 20127:41 pm
don’t worry nolie, I’m hard at work on it.
The fish don’t believe the HOF’er can field bunts.
July 24th, 20127:42 pm
no way Hanley ever plays for the Braves KL. even without Gonzo
Surprised Lance Diaz is that fast on his feet. Within a span of about 3 secs (from 3rd to home) he made up his mind he had to make up for that horrible call last night. He says to himself ” this guy is out if it’s even close”. Problem is it wasn’t in a crucial part of the game like last night. You still owe us LD!
they know what his knees are like
July 24th, 20127:43 pm
Play by the rules when u talk about uggla..got to make up words.
July 24th, 20127:44 pm
ENOUGH ALREADY ABOUT THE CALL AT FIRST LAST NIGHT!
Great arm Ross – and let Buerhle sit at 1st for awhile.
July 24th, 20127:46 pm
It’s nice to see the first base umpire standing in the vicinity of first base!
The reason Lance Diaz still has a job is because the umpires have a union and a collective bargaining agreement.
Well we got us a ballgame folks
Welcome to our word…
This starting staff is just not very good.
Wow – he didn’t miss that pitch a bit did he? Stood too long at the plate and showed up Hudson a little – Plunkable next AB
Do the Braves realize these are the Marlins?
Wow..starting pitching is just awful.
Well, that oughta be enough runs for the Marlins. We can’t score that much.
Have to pitch a head, you have to in order to be successful in the Major League. Maybe this will expedite the trade for a starting pitcher.
the “average” Hudson is pitching tonight …. i don’t like that version
More awful pitching.
You’re almost surprised when we DON’T give up three early runs.
July 24th, 20127:47 pm
Prado needs to be playing 2nd base, and Constanza play left!Or you could put Huddy in left tonight!
Have to pitch ahead, you have to in order to be successful in the Major League. Maybe this will expedite the trade for a starting pitcher.
Looks like we can chalk this one up. Guess Huddy is gonna allow 3 runs in the 3rd inning now right?
Some trends just continue. More runs score with two outs. Looks like the bad versions of the offense and Tim Hudson have shown up in Miami tonight.
Hope Huddy hits Reyes in the side of the head next AB!!!
What, Reyes did not bunt for that run but actually hit a homer???? what a traitor to the concept of small ball. It shouldn’t count I tell ya, he was really trying to sacrifice
July 24th, 20127:48 pm
Bummer. Hudson’s ERA up to 3.90 – our team leader in ERA – 3.90.
the place we know so well “behind”
I like Chip and Joe, but I’m tired of hearing their whining about guys watching home runs. How about criticizing our pitchers for making sh*tty pitches?
we now shift over to Sheets as our team leader in ERA
July 24th, 20127:49 pm
looks like a 5 game slide ,have to depend on Sheets to be the stopper. can he put together 3 great starts in a row.
How could Wren have misjudged all the damn pitchers. Thats all fans heard for two years how great pitcher were.
July 24th, 20127:50 pm
That’s one thing about huddy…the man screws up but so often he’ll get on base to help his cause!
Keep fighting Huddy!!!!
Allison is a cutie pie
well to be fair, it wasn’t just Wren. Baseball America, KLaw and about every other evaluator was in the same mindset
July 24th, 20127:51 pm
Chip says that Reyes admired that homer 10-12 seconds before he started his trot. What a dumbass he is. Yeah, he admired it, but in 12 seconds he had touched home plate already.
Jaded… It’s not whining it’s the way baseball should be… if you show someone up like that you’re gonna get hit!!
Brewers broadcast repeatedly showing Braves special assistant Jim Fregosi in Philly. Greinke on the hill and has touched 95
@Nolieee……Would “ACE” be mad at him–forsaking the bunt/a “no, no?”
Wow – got robbed there Bourn – nice catch.
The Braves face the MLB Dream team every night, don’t you forget that!
I don’t know who this Ruggiano guy is but I think I might hate him.
Maybe we are seeing why Dempstick didn’t want the Braves
Probably need to drill Reyes next AB
July 24th, 20127:52 pm
Ruggiano covered a LOT of ground to run down that Bourn fly ball on the warning track. Cavernous ballpark.
Bourn and Prado cooling off some
I would much rather see this team hit low liners instead of this fly balls that just seem to hang up.
July 24th, 20127:53 pm
She dresses very tastefully and is a cool chick@Bat.
What is this “robs a Braves hitter” crap? The guy ran and made a play that any big league center fielder should make. If you can’t make a catch running full speed when you don’t have to leave your feet then you shouldn’t be playing CF in the big leagues.
And without Bourn and Prado hitting, we can’t score very much.
Okay, Jason – let’s go…
Bowman just retweeted this:
Brewers broadcast repeatedly showing Braves special assistant Jim Fregosi in Philly. Greinke on the hill and has touched 95.
July 24th, 20127:54 pm
Watching with the sound down, not, listening to the whining FSS boys, I cannot see where Reyes really did anything wrong.
Uggla last night and Bourn tonight would’ve been HR’s in 80% of ML ballparks….Tough breaks
Why are pitchers allowed to pump their fists and make all kind of dramatic movements but its considered a fight worthy offense when a batter shows emotion?
July 24th, 20127:55 pm
Oh well, Football coming soon!!!!!!!!
Why does Chip and Joe need to say our rotation isn’t very good? Like this is news. A player, for the second night in a row, shows the Braves up is worth mentioning. That’s news.
Nail Reyes in the ribs.
apparently Hudson is pitching crap like JJ,Hanson and the rookies….cool (sarcasm)
plus redhead Dempster dont want to play in ATL,,,,,
result= the braves go the rest of the way with JJ in the rotation and watching the sub par perfomance by all but Sheets…. plus Bourn started his own slump 10 games ago…
in fact damn near everybody is cooling off some
Get him out of the 3 hole…it’s embarassing….that hot streak is old news.
Give Chipper back his line-up and insert him back at 3 for his last year. We are wasting opportunities here.
July 24th, 20127:56 pm
Striking out vs. Mark Buehrle on 3 pitches. Every pitcher goes right after the kid – hasn’t changed. Even in June.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
