Latest Braves transaction: Chipper Jones has agreed to pass on his ownership of the New York Mets to Freddie Freeman after the completion of the 2012 season.
Appreciated Glavine’s comments – a veteran pitcher KNOWS how to do it, it’s just a question of can his body accomplish it? Today – Sheets did. Standing O woulda been nice, but….he’ll get one in the clubhouse…he’ll appreciate that one too.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Tom Glavine, but does it always seem when he’s calling a game against the Mets, he sounds just a little biased in that direction? I mean I know he played with them for like 3 years, but he was a Brave a whole lot longer. If a long-term ex-Brave went on to play with another team and then came back as announcer, I would expect them to be more home-team friendly.
That AT&T commercial with the pool girl is more annoying than the one with the kid telling the two youngsters how good they have it while watching the Final 4. They all get old after a while.
bravesgrl4life: I haven’t noticed that at all….. however, I have noticed Chip loves to talk about the Cubs when they are playing the Braves (he used to announce for them)
the most amazing thing to me about Sheet’s performance was how good his command was, I figured there’d be a lot of rust to shake off, he looked really good

Jason is maturing, I think, and the time was right recently. We’re seeing it some now.
Assuming we don’t blow this, great to put some distance on these guys behind us before the next losing streak.
