It was a tough pitch to bunt, still, bottim line is that your a major league player and you did not get the job done.
The pitcher made a good pitchm, fair and square.
Pastornicky is not a very good MLB player but neither is the replacement level player Paul Janish.

I, the king of the bunt, would not even have bunted there. And with Pastornicky’s propensity to hit the ball to right field and Davis crashing it was the perfect time to swing away.
But, of course, Gonzalez didn’t see it that way, so we continue to suffer.

Pastornicky is a replacement level player.
He really does not do anything much above average, in fact as a defensive player is not good enough.
He can handle the bat some, but has no power and not a great eye for walks, so being a AAAA player is about his lot in life.
