yeah I wasn’t sure if it was just my cable connectors loose or what.

Braves lose today bank on it!
Piece of excrement… choking against the Mets. Wow.
This game is really frustrating. Hanson is just so irritating.
July 14th, 20126:40 pm
Will The offense score anymore? Its a Saturday Funday in front of a Packed House!
July 14th, 20126:41 pm
Thanks Hanson. Not like he had to be great today, just keep it respectable. He didn’t.
We still have six outs though.
Chatt. It must be Fox 61’s fault.
DOB is it Janish or Yanish…?
Maybe move Hanson to the Angels next offseason for Bourjos and a prospect or 2….
It would gain us some more $$$ to get a left fielder too, Bourjos won’t bring as much in arby as Hanson
July 14th, 20126:42 pm
This part of the Mets lineup has been trouble for the Braves today.
Well, I am about done. Hubby and I are gonna take our ‘70 Cuda Convertible (a work in progress) up to a car show at the local Wal-Mart.
Doesn’t look like our day….
The A Bomb

Hanson needs to figure out what he wants his career to be and start putting in the work necessary to be not only a better pitcher, but a better athlete in general.
There are too many pieces and movements to his delivery to consider him a long-term Brave at this point. Guy needs a trainer who will break him down and make what he does well BETTER and make what he doesn’t do well ACCEPTABLE.
Ball is in his court.
Braves are 2-33 this season when trailing after 7. Trailed 6-5 after 7 (and that’s score now in top 8th)
Well shyt. Damn I wish we had that pitching from last year. Of course that’s how it goes nowadays … pitching, no hitting and vice versa.
July 14th, 20126:44 pm
When someone asks Fredi a tough question I will do a moondance while singing brown eyed girl.
July 14th, 20126:46 pm
Janish, pronounced Yawnish.
July 14th, 20126:47 pm
Look, a leadoff double by the talentless Mets’ lineup. Bet they make it 7-5 now…
what sort of “hard question?”
“Fredi, umm, why do you suck so hard?”
Other Than D. Wight and Tike Davis! These No Named Mets Hitters many of whom would still be in AAA during the Roid Era, are killing us!
July 14th, 20126:48 pm
Wow. Hairston looking breaking ball. Sign stealing?
I use to have a Cuda with a 400 hp Hemi and 2 -4 barrels. She could move.
throw it again, ump will call it a strike this time
July 14th, 20126:50 pm
Janish is that piano guy that used to sell his new-age albums on those late night infomercials.
Redmond>Vavaro …..Fredi must have $$ on this game and want to lose …..
Frank Week will trade for another minor leaguer tomorrow ….no worries Braves fans
Ouch! At those stats! That is symbolical of a 1 and Done team in the Playoffs! (Tear)
Fredi why did you stay with Hanson so long?
On the crack of the bat with a right hand hitter up a runner getting a secondary lead can get back to 2nd before Uggla can trot over there????????
July 14th, 20126:51 pm
Fredi did SKI go on his own or did Snit send him?
Pick play following a steal attempt has no merit.
July 14th, 20126:52 pm
The Braves have won 5 games in a row. I am sure if they lose this game they will reel off a stretch where they lose about 6 of 7.
July 14th, 20126:53 pm
Bets Varvaro starts the walk parade?
yes mark he can, Uggla was playing back
Summer storm messing up my DirecTV.
Someone fire Larry Parrish for this!
The Curley W’s have at least 5 or 6 wins late in games…That is Natitude! Something the Braves dont have
This team is Due for another Walkoff but they play with no sense of urgency! So Frustrating
July 14th, 20126:54 pm
Tejada is killing us today
Is Sheet in the park?
This team just flat out has 0 pitching, yet people on here complain about the real posibility of dealing away prospects to acquire a proven starting pitcher.
well crap, jeez there have been a ton of weak bloops in this game
Mets looking breaking ball. They’ve got the signs.
This is what happens with a weak bullpen. A potentially winnable game gets out of reach.
July 14th, 20126:55 pm
Tomahawkin’, the team has hit pretty well, today, but the pitching just flat out sucks today.
All I keep hearing is how Uggla will catch fire in the second half and carry this team. Errrr, I’m still waiting. I actually believe this slump of his will continue for most of this season because he just isn’t that good. But some of you will continue to fool yourself into believing otherwise.
July 14th, 20126:56 pm
WTF WOULD YOU PUT IN VALVERO??/
THIS LOSS IS ON FREDI AGAIN. HE GIVES UP ON TEAM QUICKLY.
A Bomb you’re right – he was waiting for both breaking balls – looked like he knew they were coming. I’d like to see a shot from behind home plate to see what the runner at second was doing. Or, the batter was just looking breaking ball and fighting off fastballs.
It has become pretty much a foregone conclusion that if a Braves pitcher leaves the game with runners on base, the next pitcher who comes enters will promptly allow those inherited runners to cross home plate.
I’m beginning to agree Jerry.
July 14th, 20126:57 pm
I don’t disagree with Nick B — I would think of putting Hanson on the market and see what you can get.
I am not so hot on Bourjos though, would want a better player and a couple of prospects maybe. And you have to get the right prospects.
Now how about Hanson for Will Myers and Hochevar. Hochevar has not been good but there is still mid rotaion upside.
Game was lost by the no-talent POS Hanson.
Hairston as well. Torres was moving 1-2 steps back toward 2nd on breaking balls.
DOB doing his best trying to jinx us with those late innings stats. I’m calling a McCann walk off.
Should we be upset at Mac for calling all those breaking balls today, especially with a guy like Varvaro who can run it up there mid 90s?
Mets almost .430 OBP today against Braves pitching. That’s just pathetic.
July 14th, 20126:58 pm
what is this evidence you have? Cuz I can just point to Uggla’s career stats and the fact that he has the 6th most WAR at 2nd since 2006 and the 5th highest OPS at 2nd since 2006
July 14th, 20126:59 pm
This is what happens with a weak bullpen. A potentially winnable game gets out of reach.”
Actually, this is what happens when you don’t have good starting pitching. I remember a time when everybody discussed who the Braves were going to keep between JJ and Hanson. Both have severely broken down from what they used to be.
FREDI PUSHED ALL THE WRONG BUTTONS TODAY.
July 14th, 20127:00 pm
Wright struck out to end Mets 8th, makes him 0-for-5 with 4 K’s today. Braves down 7-5 headed to bottom 8th
OK. McCann up first. Pop out. Ugga next. You all know what he will do.
With the bias of these FOX announcers, I feel like I’m watching the game on a local NY station.
Fredi pushes no buttons, he just tips caps.
I was hoping they would show the wide shot from behind home on the line drive to Prado and the man that just scored was on second.
I would bet the farm that Uggla was flat footed until the ball was caught but by then it was too late. Right handed hitter was up and yes he was on the edge of the grass to try and knock down base hits but he was cheating toward 2nd. If not an out it should have been much closer.
July 14th, 20127:02 pm
More astute pitching moves by Fredi!
If it’s not a “cookie cutter” decision — the kind of decision Fredi likes to make — you really get impression there’s little rhyme or reason to what Fredi does.
Call it mindless managing!
Minor warming up in the bullpen. Wonder if that means he’s the one getting dropped.
“This team just flat out has 0 pitching, yet people on here complain about the real posibility of dealing away prospects to acquire a proven starting pitcher.”
Its a catch 22 ncbraves90, to get a good proven SP, you have to pay at least 15 mill per to keep him & the prospects that you are talking about could be 15, 16 win per yr pitchers in a couple of yrs.
All of the available proven pitchers have wrinkles of some kind whether it be age, inconsistency or in the case of Grienke, personal issues wth handling pressure. Do you want to commit in the high teen to even 20 mil per yr for any of the guys mentioned. Even Hammels has his wrinkles.
Garza is one guy who has time left on his deal and he is not really that great.
Its not that clear cut easy of a decision and note the ownership and constaiints that Mr. Wren is under. Does this fit for us — in my opinion I really do not know.
You are dealing with big $$$$$$$$$$ and if it busts it can screw you for a long time.
July 14th, 20127:03 pm
Finally the TV folks realized the umps got that call right
Hugo Z Hackenbush
I sincerely hope this ends the yammering about whether Prado was safe or not…
What do you know…the rule book set the awful announcers (and some of the genuses here) straight.
When braves win it is inspite of Fredi not because of him.
July 14th, 20127:04 pm
Only took the vaunted Fox Research crew about 2 hours to find the rule. But, in the end it was correct.
Can we get a Rally Please?
July 14th, 20127:05 pm
Anyone watching on Fox have their local channel switched to an infomercial for St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital?? This is some bs….
Minor should’ve been in the bullpen long ago…
what is this evidence you have? Cuz I can just point to Uggla’s career stats and the fact that he has the 6th most WAR at 2nd since 2006 and the 5th highest OPS at 2nd since 2006 NickB
About the only evidence I have is what I see every day. A guy who tries to only do one thing and that is put the ball out of the ballpark. He tries to pull everything in his zeal to hit it out. And he looks no closer to being successful right now than he was a month ago. All the stats in the world mean nothing right now.
As we learned with Andruw Jones and others, there’s no spot in the order to effectively hide crap. Crap in your lineup will always find itself in the middle of a rally, and appropriately flush it.
July 14th, 20127:06 pm
We can get Wright out why cant we beat that the Mets. Come Torres and Ike Davis come on WE need #1 and #2 starter . Im with the oters of trading Hanson he cant get the strike out when he needs to get out of a jam.
Jim Powell just called Uggla a one man rally.
July 14th, 20127:07 pm
Now at the century mark!
You usually hit at least 1 hard every AB its just usually foul down the 3rd base line. Let the ball travel and earn some of that CASH
Rare chance to watch the Braves on TV, and my local Fox station wants to show some depressing children with cancer infomercial in the bottom of the 8th?! What kinda unholy crap is this?
July 14th, 20127:08 pm
Been a bigger rhubarb…if they had called it “trapped”…and Prado just stayed on 2B, then, coupla minutes later, ruled it was a “catch”…& had to try and figure out if Prado coulda made it back to 1B…had they originally called it a catch.
I like Bourjos glove and his hitting will improve
Better Get It Done Here!
Flabcisco is on deck!
so to recap…
the umpires have the authority to place the runners where they thought they should be because of an improper call. (rule 9.02 – c)
Just want to be clear because i’m willing to bet in a different game and a different umpire crew… the rule/explanation will be different and somehow the Braves will get screwed and Fredi G. will not argue. (lol)
Uggla and Francisco back to back…look for lots of head pulling, hard thrashing, non-contact.
July 14th, 20127:10 pm
Hit it too hard…
Uggla hit that ball so hard Mac couldn’t take 3rd
How do u like me now!
That’s one of the hardest singles I’ve ever seen.
Great, more stranded runners now…
Well, pulled it hard, juuuuust fair and now we’ll have to hope Francisco can come through
McCann not exactly busting it…even for McCann.
A Loud Single!
Bet They Dont Score Here!
Bet Me, Bet Me!
The Braves have horrible luck. They have roped several balls today that have been caught and now that certain double becomes a single with Mac on in front of Uggla and the hard carom off the wall.
Hello Rev, gonna bunt?
July 14th, 20127:11 pm
Uggla hit that ball hard. If only he’d have gotten some elevation on it….
Pastornicky to pinch-hit with potential tying run on 1st.
