Looks like tonight’s pep talk was the one!
Bautista having a rough go of it in right field.
HaHa…… Go get him
July 10th, 20128:34 pm
Don’t embarrass us, Uggla.
Did I mistype? I meant NL. NL, I like. Pesky keyboard.
Dan with a RBI base hit!!!!
EVEN UGGLA GOT A HIT!!!!!!!!!!!!
McFann :Ô: :Ô: :ô:
Uggla with a RBI single.
DOB – really disappointed in your argument: “Doesn’t stack up against all the superior stats and award totals for Schmidt, including 12 All-Star selections, 10 Gold Gloves in 11 years…six Silver Slugger awards”.
All-Star selections and Silver Slugger awards are relative to what other 3B are playing at the time.
As a seasoned reporter, you should know that All-Star selections do not always choose the best player (Uggla?). Even more so, you should know that Gold Gloves are total B.S.
The MVPs are good but they can be just as political and just as much a popularity competition.
July 10th, 20128:35 pm
RBI for Uggs!
Hit for Uggla……… Maybe that’ll get him going for the second half
Uggla credited with RBI infield single when Jeter’s bounced throw isn’t fielded by Fielder.
National League up 5-0 on Verlander after a half-inning. Yep, just what we figured.
July 10th, 20128:36 pm
Me thinks FG snuck in there and is managing the AL stars, based on leaving Verlander in there!
I guess they took Chipper’s speech to heart.
July 10th, 20128:37 pm
Cheap ass hit for Uggla. Lucky piece of dirt.
I’m so glad Uggs got a hit.
Bat M. Oh I expect after he shows out in this years World Series he’ll be on peoples minds.
You know it, man!!
Wonder if he’s gettin’ to watch tonight…
July 10th, 20128:38 pm
If Freeman is at first Uggla is out! Terrible effort by Fielder. Great hustle by Dan!
GO BRAVES!!! (Sign Michael Bourn)
Arguably the best pitcher in baseball just got shelled, could be a wild night in KC
Told y’all Uggla would be alright.
July 10th, 20128:39 pm
When the inning started, Dad said, “OK, if Uggla gets a hit this inning, we’re gonna win!…”
Melky theonethatgotaway Cabrera
July 10th, 20128:40 pm
Uggla “alright?” Swinging out of his shoes as usual – on a fresh ‘roid rage, no doubt. Lucked out when Fielder botched the catch.
July 10th, 20128:41 pm
Furcal still has a cannon
Nice try, Furcal.
Saw Melky in the clubhouse today, barely recognized him. He’s in such better shape than he was with the Braves.
You can’t, by any stretch of the imagination, be suggesting that a players physical conditioning can affect their performance can you?
July 10th, 20128:42 pm
Proud of those KC fans for “getting on” Cano last night and tonight. He deserved it, besides he’s a Yankee. Think the Braves fans would have done the same thing. Heard some news people today “ragging” on the KC fans.
Furcal made that a very close play. Give him some credit for backing up a sloppy effort by Panda.
July 10th, 20128:43 pm
UGGLA is getting warm. Same time as last year!
July 10th, 20128:44 pm
Cain not pitching like normal either. Hm, something about the All-Star game, I guess.
” Think the Braves fans would have done the same thing.”
I got on Lowe and Glaus at one home game for stealing our money.
Yeah, Atlanta fans just want a nice family experience. Shh. Sit down.
July 10th, 20128:45 pm
But we need Dan in september too….not just july and half of august.
Schmidt, Jones and Brett never faced pitchers throwing off a 15 inch mound. (The mound was lowered in 1969 to 10 inches.) So Mathews is king.
Uggla is getting warm. Soon, the ball may start leaving the infield. August maybe?
July 10th, 20128:46 pm
We’re too ‘polite’ (pukes) to get on (or know why we’re getting on) anyone.
Can you pass me the sweet tea er, koolaid please.
Or last Sunday
What’s that pretty young thing right behind home plate doing sitting with that old man? Oh well, he’s probably got money, or maybe it’s even her dad. Will give her the benefit of the doubt.
July 10th, 20128:48 pm
Has Chipper homered yet and won the MVP?
Saw her…..she’s got it going on.
July 10th, 20128:49 pm
Good job Matt!
We’re on a crisp 4-1/2 hour pace after 1st inning.
July 10th, 20128:50 pm
I will be flipping back and forth between ASG and White Collar
Mixxo, wonder how I can get word to her that I’m available? I got $1.98 in my pocket right now!
July 10th, 20128:51 pm
“We’re on a crisp 4-1/2 hour pace after 1st inning.”
I doubt the networks are complaining. I’m ready to drink a Bud, drive a Lexus and eat some Wal-Mart steak.
July 10th, 20128:52 pm
“Mixxo, wonder how I can get word to her that I’m available?”
She knows. In her world… everyone is available.
July 10th, 2012
That warm feeling is because he pisses himself every chance he gets.
and eat some Wal-Mart steak
That steak was from Wal Mart??
July 10th, 20128:53 pm
“That steak was from Wal Mart??”
You can do amazing things in post these days…
July 10th, 20128:54 pm
I forget about him sometimes.
Where is ACE to point out that DOB took a few days off, only covers high profile games like this one and rode FG’s Harley across part of our great nation to reach KC where he’ll ask no tough questions of LaRussa?
Doubtful that the old guy is her father because he is paying way to much attention to her and not to the game. She is a stone cold honey though.
July 10th, 20128:55 pm
July 10th, 20128:57 pm
DOB can hook U up.
He’s there! Just ask him to run down there and give her a SO from yas.
July 10th, 2012
the ball? Or the babe with the old fella?
Rafael theonethatgotaway Furcal
Jerry, he’s ignoring her ‘cuz she’s on the clock. She’s an escort. Duh.
July 10th, 20129:00 pm
Sheets could start Sunday for Braves
July 10th, 20129:01 pm
Number 666th??? BWAAAAHAHAHAHA
July 10th, 20129:02 pm
Burgess you are despicable
July 10th, 20129:04 pm
I’m ready to drink a Bud, drive a Lexus and eat some Wal-Mart steak.
Same thing Melky said, when leaving NY for ATL.
July 10th, 20129:08 pm
Chipper treated like star among All-Stars in K.C.
July 10th, 20129:10 pm
Speaking of the Negro League.
Does anyone know where I can get an Indianapolis Clowns home jersey?
July 10th, 20129:11 pm
I know now exactly what Verlander’s problem was in that first inning! Lack of concentration, on the catcher.
July 10th, 20129:12 pm
Man, the ol’ blog is slow tonight. Guess the homers aren’t out – typical of the locals. Not that I blame ‘em – even though NL is winning…
July 10th, 20129:14 pm
where yall at folks
July 10th, 20129:15 pm
“Granderson wears high socks to honor Negro League” – WOW, REALLY???
Never heard of that before! *drool drool* Thank you Fox crew…
July 10th, 20129:19 pm
July 10th, 20129:21 pm
1st Game I’ve watched on FOX With both Blow Buck and Tim McSlobber Calling it this season in that we always get the B Sat Nite Fox Crew…
I have not miss those 2 clowns all year
Furcal needs to teach Mr. Simmons how to slide feet first with the popup slide.
Lookin’ like the Braves get home field advantage this year!
July 10th, 20129:22 pm
Beautiful shot, Cabrera.
July 10th, 20129:23 pm
yeah the A.L is so much better……
Why did we get rid of him? Geeeez!!
I Just Hope that the Braves are not Dumb Enough to re-acquire The Melk Dud and sign him to a FAT 5 Year Contract!
Things haven’t been the same in this “series” since Brian McCann’s 3-run double lifted NL to win in 2010. NL on way to its 3rd straight win.
July 10th, 20129:24 pm
Melky boned his bat, each night in Atlanta, but the Giants told him he didn’t have to eat the Ham first.
braun talking to jeter as he rounded 2nd there lol
These AL pitchers are “shell-shocked” by now!
Synthetic testosterone power!
July 10th, 20129:26 pm
Me thinks the KC fans are about ready to start booing the entire AL team, not just Cano! They should, that would be fun to watch and listen to. Those Yankee players aren’t use to that!
Super Size those fries Big Mac?
“braun talking to jeter as he rounded 2nd there lol”
How’s the single life?
A-ok bro, how about with you?
A slight itch, but, no real complaints otherwise.
July 10th, 20129:27 pm
S/0 To Brava
My Gut Tells Me that Melky might be back since The Braves are not gonna Resign The Bourne Identity…I hope thats just Nasty indigestion?
Id Rather have Shane Pestorino! He can be had for Cheap since he is having a down year by his standards
Coach (2012 Fredi's Beisbol Fandango)
July 10th, 20129:28 pm
Wow, when was the least time we witnessed a blow out in the All-Star game, much less where the N.L was winning.
July 10th, 20129:30 pm
Nah, Tomahawkin, I’d rather have present day Melky than Victorino. I absolutely cannot stand Victorino. And if Melky would play like this for us, it wouol be awesome.
And hey, look at that, SS gets hit.
July 10th, 20129:31 pm
bat – oh come on when we are winning its domination when we are losing its the pendulum
July 10th, 20129:32 pm
Ew! I don’t want that weasel, Victorino, anywhere near the Braves. I can’t stand him.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
