The Braves are the only team in MLB that a runner could score from 3rd against on a 1st and 3rd double steal. And the Hall of Famer Chipper is trying to score and looks behind to see where the ball is. Freddie Freeman does NOT run hard to first after hitting a ground ball. It’s unbelievable how bad this baseball team is. Talented, but don’t even know how to play the game

WHo was it that didn’t vote for Bourn, Murph? I blame him…
I blame LaRussa or whoever it was that made the decision to add Chipper 2 days after the Final Vote started instead of doing it from the start. I’m willing to bet that 70% of the votes that went to Chipper would have gone to Bourn instead.
I’m glad we “stretched out” Medlen and wasted him for three weeks in the minors and he still comes out of the bullpen while our starting pitching continues to struggle, especially without Beachy. And management continues to carry around Juan FranCRISCO and keep Constanza languishing in the minors. And then we sign the oft injured Sheets.

I just hope voting’s like the All Star vote. It’s got all the candidate’s pictures, you click on one, and then type a number into a box as many times as you want as long as you’ve got free time/don’t get tired of it.
I will say, I’m going to enjoy getting furious with LaRussa one last time, as he brings in Clayton Kershaw to face one lefty batter, and then removes him from the game.
This just in – Fredi placed on DL with a “mental impingement.” It typically occurs due to activities that require excessively or repetitively making strategic decisions at the MLB level. It often results in a distant stare, inability to process in-game activity in a manner that allows for strategic response, and inane post game comments; e.g., tip your cap; run them out there; helluva; he pitched great apart from the 5 walks and 3 wild pitches. This may occur suddenly, due to a specific incident, like being in over your head.
Fredi Gonzalez said Venters didn’t tell him about the elbow when he came out of game, that he (Gonzalez) didn’t know about it when he talked to reporters after game.
The whole thing doesn’t jibe very well, if you were trying to put together a timetable. Venters on one hand said it just started hurting past couple of days, then said it was “off and on” longer than that, then said there’s only so many times you can get a shot and rest a few days, but then said he never got a shot….
He said the elbow wasn’t reason he’s struggled, but that trying to make adjustments with arm angle, etc, might have been reason elbow started hurting. Said it hurts in a couple of different spots, but that doc was sure it’s structurally sound and no MRI was taken or is scheduled. And Fredi said he thinks Venters will be back in 15 days.
Hey, your guess is as good as ours as to what exactly is happening. I asked Jonny when he was told he was going on DL, and he said Frank called him this morning. But Double-A guys were contratulating Avilan last night for being called up, after Avilan was told Jonny was hurt and he was going to the majors.
I don’t give a rat’s patootie if Bourn makes it or not. Never did, sure don’t now that Chipper is in.

The Braves have more players WORKING THROUGH CRAP than any team I’ve ever seen. I mean this kind of BS going on for most of the past 2 years and yet, the team is 3 games over .500 despite having an 85-90 loss culture.

THE BIG PROBLEM IS THE LACK OF PATIENCE
I HATE WHEN HE IS OUT ON THE FIRST PITCH ,,
GOD WHY HE IS ALWAYS SWINGING THE BALL AT 1ST PITCH….
HE NEVER PLAYED IN LITTLE LEAGUES???
GOLD RULE : NEVER SWING THE BAT UNTIL YOU HAVE 1 STRIKE ….
WAIT WAIT YOUR PITCH FREEMAN
BE PATIENT …. BE LIKE BOBBY ABREU HE HAD FOR SEVERAL YEARS THE 1ST PLACE IN THE MAJORS IN PITCHES PER PLATE AT BAT
I DONT LIKE COMPARE PLAYERS ,,,BUT FREEMAN YOU NEVER SEE MARTIN PRADO BATTING?????
MARTIN PRADO IS THE BEST BATTER IN THE TEAM.,,, WITH A LOT OF BATTING DISCPLINE
HARDLY PRADO SWING AT 1ST PITCH
AFTER CHIPPER JONES,, PRADO IS MY FAVORITE BRAVE POSITION PLAYER IN THE LAST 10 -15 YEARS
