Stop encouraging him to do so Sopheee!!! You know Michael reads each and every post you make; the Braves Nation covets your help and influence; :)

I know…I understand why they do it. Just saying I can see why people would see that as being disloyal.

Sopheee – You are exactly right. I expect him to leave for the money. I also expect McCann to do the same. The players who don’t leave for money, like Chipper, are a level above all the others.

Agree on David Wright! This ASG voting and selection is a joke. And I don’t even really like Wright.

To them, it’s a job. I think most people would take a job that offers them 20mm a year, as opposed to 10mm. Can’t blame ‘em.

My homerism isn’t blocking what Harper said about Chipper. I acknowledged that it was wonderful to see that he said those great things about Chipper and especially with him being so young. My gripe with George’s post was about his refusal to vote for Bourn because he anticipates him being greedy in the offseason. Lame excuse, imo.

He also complained about attendance when it was 108 degrees outside

Jimmy, I can’t stand the way the ASG is handled. I probably dislike the fact that every team has to have one player there. If they don’t deserve it, then they don’t deserve it.

I don’t even know what I’d do with $10 million

But did the company hire you at 18-20 years old, stick with you for several years as you had up and downs, as you climbed the company ladder. Then when you reach a high level of production, you leave to go to a rival company for more money.

Yes that company you left will feel you are being disloyal and greedy. So will the stockholders.

Anyway, hope for a good game tonight.

Trey – Agree on that. ASG is a joke and MLB tries to make it soooo important. It is an exhibiton game!

Sopheee – Gottacha. That is lame.
That’s like saying I won’t go to someone’s funeral, because they aren’t coming too mine!!

I know exactly what I’d do with 10 million, Jeffrey. I’d put it right into my savings account and build on that money.

Jimmy, the sport seems like it is getting watered down. I wouldn’t be surprised if every team started getting a trophy even if they lose, so no one feels left out. ;)

Wright ASG issue – I was refering to Fat Panda getting voted as starter over Wright. This shows how bad this voting system is. Then, another vote for the Final Man. PLEASE!

Why not do the old ballot by mail thing again. That would stop some geek in SF (several geeks) voting night after night – bascially unlimited votes. Only time limits the votes.

Nice whack at Heap, Jimmy.

Chipper may have taken less money, reworked a contract, whatever, but the Braves never let a contract expire either, that I’m aware of. They gave him a 4 year deal after his first full season. Then extend, and extend and extend……………. Chipper did very well and so did the Braves……….. Two way street
