Samardzia is pitching like Cy Young. Of course he is getting raves from the folks on Foxsports.

Instead of it being a case that the Braves offense is pathetic…. the storyline is that this guy is pitching the game of his life! It’s just odd that this guy ruled the Braves earlier this year and is doing it again after he has been getting lit up by most teams!

The Braves are pathetic, being embarrassed by the worst team in baseball.

We have all the talent in the world, but we don’t do the little things well enough. This should be a 4-3 game now. We should have been able to score Simmons from 3rd with 1 out, and we should have been able to advance Chipper with nobody out and get him across, but we couldn’t even move him off of 2nd.

Well, Powder, Francona did more in 8 seasons with the Red Sox than Bobby did in 25 seasons with Braves and with equal or less talent.

Yeah, but they only won the division once in all that time so like, it’s not the same.

Bobby’s team won 14 in a row. That’s way more than the World Series titles Terry Fancona won as their manger.

14 vs. 2. That’s like 12 more.

Plus Bobby Cox managed in Atlanta where the media occasionally questions managerial decision making, like every third full moon per season and a half.

BravesfaninAugusta – The Braves have an option in 2013 on McCann for $13M and will exercise it. Hopefully, though, they will trade McCann in the off season for a couple of starters and use the $13M they save on signing a couple of more young, athletic players that will make the Braves exciting again. Brian is a seemingly great person and I wish him the best. Spending millions and millions of dollars for his salary extension seem like one of the worst ideas imaginable.

What is it about this team that not more than 2 hitters can get hot at the same time and the others struggling terribly? I thought this Walker guy was such a great hitting coach. I sure the media is wrong and Wren doesn’t get his hooks into Greinke. It’s not that I have any great love for Teheran, Minor, Degado, or any of the young pitchers, because I don’t. But I can’t see resigning Greinke for the $20million a season that he’s gonna want to re-up with this team with the huge holes we have throughout the 25-man roster. And if he doesn’t resign, it will be one of the worst trade deadline deals we ever done, rivaling the Tex deal. Greinke is not gonna put this team over the hump. Mark that down.

Why do the Braves always have some peculiar ignominious streak going that ESPN can mock us about? Consecutive one run losses, can’t win on Mondays, even Ugglas hitting streak came during his lost season.
How many times over the past few years has DOB posted some bizarre head scratching stat about the braves or a particular braves player, beginning like: “Since May 10th…(fill in the blank)” that leaves us collectively shaking our heads. I realize our payroll is not what it once was, and we are a mid tier organization now, but is there another team that puts its fans on the emotional see-saw the way this one does?
