While Simmons has been very good for us and he hopefully will be for years to come, he won’t get ROY over Harper. Harper really does bring more for his club. He is also great defensively, has a great bat, and I believe just has much more hype and is living up to it.

On a side note, leave it to the Braves to screw away any opportunity they get. They sure came out on fire today huh? This team just completely collapses under pressure. Pretty sad that they have homefield advantage, and they have to choke away a chance at gaining ground on the division leader. I just think this team is allergic to success these days.

A- Bomb. If Sheets is good, Fredi or no Fredi the Braves will be making noise in the NL East.

And certain bats like Uggla and Chipper have to wake up. Mc Cann too. Don’t know what is wrong with these guys.

Bourn does not look like an All-Star they way he had played CF the last couple of games. He deserves to be Booed for that 1st inning miscue. Very BUMB!!!!!!!!! Bad baseball.

“Did he ever take some good Oakland teams past the first round? Maybe once. And in one of those yrs, think it was 2000 or 01, that Oakland team was better than the Yankees & they came so close but could not overcome them. Those A’s teams should have gotten to the series at least once in that time.”

Huddy’s actually never been on a team that’s won a playoff series. The A’s had that crazy stat of being something like 0-9 in potential series-clinching games while he was there.

It would be nice if the Braves could win a series for him. Great pro who’s had some very unfortunate Octobers, team-wise.

As much as I liked the Bourn deal last year we should use him this tradeline the same way as we did last year. Get as many prospects as we can because Boras will demand more than he is worth at this point. He is 30 and he really strikes out too much for the money he will get. Don’t get me wrong, I like him and he is good, but not for the money he will get or the length of the deal.
