Scoring change takes away E5 on Chipper and awards Morse with 3rd inning single. Both runs that inning still unearned

With all of the physical and mental errors by the infield – I have a hard time blaming Delgado for the 4 runs.

The score should be 1-0.

How many extra pitches has he thrown because we couldn’t get an out when we should have?

i really don’t understand Fredi’s choice with the lineup tonight.
Switching everyone around in the batting order and starting Diaz and Wilson on the same night just doesn’t make sense.
We had no chance tonight from the jump.

@CTB: “Delgado has the stuff; just needs to learn how to use it”

You might be right. Ans he seems like a nice kid. But right now he looks like he has the stuff to wait tables at an all-inclusive resort in his native Panama.

At what point does Fredi get released? Freeman batting 7th? Simmons 2nd? Come one. How stupid can you be? Chipper clean up? Really? It’s not 1999 any longer. Fredi has proven he can’t keep this team from massive losing streaks. He can’t manage a bullpen and he can’t construct a lineup. Tell us. What can he do well? I know this, it isn’t winning. He took a playoff team and has turned them into garbage. Nats will sweep the Braves with no problems. Again.

This team will never be a playoff team . Just think for the ones who voted for Uggla a all star should of voted for Infante. The hell with this game we will get shutout.Chipper that was an error you must be paying the scorer.Nats play defense show us how .

I hope they have enough courtesy at Turner Field to give away free water to all those sweat hogs in the stands. I know they’ll make some serious bank selling water in the heat, but have some compassion.

Well, at least there’s one thing for sure. We will all know where all the “stupid’ people in the Atlanta area will be tomorrow at about 4:00PM. After this game tonight and with the heat and sun tomorrow afternoon, one would have to be stupid to be sitting out there. So, if anybody wants to take names for a “stupid list”, or make a movie starring “stupid nitwits”, or line up folks for a “smarts” injection they will all be in one spot tomorrow!

This idea that every player we draft should be a starter is hilarious. Delgado, Tehran, Minor, etc…. we could go on and on. Only the small market Braves do this. Then again, we’re the East Coast Padres now. Broke and we’re in a division with 4 of the biggest spenders in baseball. Get ready for many years of this. As long as Liberty media owns their little pet, we’re screwed.

Hello there again Braves fan! The way I figure it the Nats will sweep your hapless Braves and the Mighty Mets, who naturally won again last night, will win their next 3 games for a 4 game sweep of the Dodgers. That will leave my team firmly in second place and put your guys in third, 6 1/2 behind the Nats and 3 games behind the Magnificent and Marvelous New York Metropolitans.

No dipstick, they’d have to go 50 and THIRTY SEVEN to get to 90 wins. At 50-27, they’d have 10 more games to go.

And to go 50 and THIRTY SEVEN, they only have to play .575 ball.

What a dumazz! Get the math right before making stupid posts.

Damn, you’re right DS1.

I’m really bad at math. You got me there.

That was stupid.

I addressed this topic in an email to a friend earlier and they didn’t correct me so they deserve partial blame. I’d say it’s 50-50 really.

But that suddenly sounds so much more achievable by comparison.

Still, it’s the Braves. Even with a second wild card they’ll still probably lose on the last day and miss the playoffs again.

Called Kimbrel giving up the run last night though. I know my Braves.

Math? Not so much.

But when you either don’t have the money and/or will not trade certain pieces to get a proven SP, then you force yourself to rush these guys up.

The latter will break out all of these situational stats. “But Matty just rakes lefthanders, at night, on grass, when the count is 2-1, off of a slider, thrown sidearm, when Uggla is on deck, and Chipper is not playing, and the hot blonde in row 4 is wearing a yellow top, and… yada yada yada”

Here’s the story on Gronzolers – 15 position players thrown into 8 lineup spots = 15!/(15-8)!8! = 6435 different lineups. And Gronzo has tried half of them.

Baseball is about continuity and persistence. Gronzo is about oil dripping from his ramshackle Harley and cat scratches on his leathers.
