Conflict of interest there…
y is not always a vowel, only is special circunstances so it is not considered a true vowel by most.
What word contains the five vowels (a, e, i, o,u) in the right order?
The two most common ones are abstemious ‘indulging only moderately in food and drink’, and facetious ‘treating serious issues with inappropriate humour’. Oxford Dictionaries Online also contains the chemical term arsenious ‘relating to arsenic with a valency of three’, while the 20-volume historical Oxford English Dictionary includes abstentious ‘abstinent’ as well as the rare botanical and zoological terms acheilous ‘having one or both lips absent’, anemious ‘growing in windy situations’, caesious ‘bluish or greyish green’, and annelidous ‘belonging to the phylum Annelida’.

They also need to stop letting a manager who is out of the game manage the AS teams. He has no incentive for the WS.
Great, so if we Braves’ fans split the vote, the likely result is that neither Chipper nor Michael will win. . . .
Oh well, at least they can rest up. Doesn’t make me as mad as it used to. Not a big ASG fan these days.
July 1st, 20121:35 pm
Neither do many of the players…
stop letting fans vote? It was designed to showcase stars for the fans
July 1st, 20121:36 pm
“nolie” TMI, my head is running over already with extraneous facts!
The A Bomb
• Chipper will get picked. That’s the way fans are. Slam dunk.
• Harper will have a chip on his shoulder because that’s his personality.
• Bourn’s not going, and that’s something Boras won’t be able to bring up at negotiations.
quite being a big ASG fan about 25 years ago myself

Sure hope Huddy is wearing his “Cool-Down Briefs” today.
July 1st, 20121:38 pm
Bring in Medlen!
Glad my channeling the heat working on Strasburg worked yesterday. Now let’s go for a series win!
Not sure what to think about the signing of Ben Sheets, it’s just a minor league deal, so no real worries about financial implications yet, but to meet it seems it could turn into another Mike Hampton situation.
Crap, a lead off double on a 1-2 pitch
July 1st, 20121:39 pm
Just because a career 4th outfielder has a great season doesn’t mean he should be starting over any of the outfielder on the bench plus others that didn’t even make it.
Melky over Braun, McCutchen, Cargo, Bruce, Stanton… BIGGEST JOKE EVER
July 1st, 20121:40 pm
Let’s go Braves!!
And now the game is off to a bad start
richbrave – DOB is busily cranking out stories on Ben Sheets and All-Stars…
There are two kinds of truth: the truth that lights the way and the truth that warms the heart. The first of these is science, and the second is art Raymond Chandler
Harper is so popular he could beat out Chipper. Plus Braves fans will be split a little with support for Bourn and Chipper which could lead to Harper being the winner.
July 1st, 20121:41 pm
I agree, VaBravesFan but I’m biased ’cause I can’t stand Melky.
Yes, I’m a hater.
Now that’s a great start for Hudson! Bet it’s the heat. My volume just went down about 10 notches on DTV. Anybody else have a problem with volume? Barely can hear them (which is not a bad thing really).
July 1st, 20121:42 pm
Hudson needs to restart this game. Two doubles allowed on a 1-2 count. He no longer owns this team.
Great way to start this game out Huddy. Looking like were simmering up for a series loss.
Bring in Sheets!
July 1st, 20121:43 pm
Might as well groove one in there and keep it going.
Come on, Braves!
Wonder if extreme heat doesn’t allow a ball to sink?
Get sheets warmed up
July 1st, 20121:44 pm
When did nolie start walking the streets?…VJ
Down these mean streets a man must go who is not himself mean, who is neither tarnished nor afraid… He is the hero, he is everything. He must be a complete man and a common man and yet an unusual man. He must be, to use a rather weathered phrase, a man of honor, by instinct, by inevitability, without thought of it, and certainly without saying it. He must be the best man in his world and a good enough man for any world.
Always good to start the game down by 3 before even getting a chance to hit.
What a start….love this team.
The ball is jumping today. Hopefully it will jump for the Braves hitters too.
July 1st, 20121:45 pm
Witness why the overvaluing of the BIG FOUR is a killer.
Va and Soph are elitists…………..
July 1st, 20121:46 pm
two of those pitches to Desmond were strikes.
Huddy has a knack for choking in a big game. Don’t say he doesn’t either. He does.
I see lots and lots of empty seats in the stadium today. Wonder why? Suppose it would have been different if the game had been moved to 7PM tonight? Anyway, if anybody wants to round up all the “stupid” people in Atlanta they are all in one enclosed arena right now, so have at it. Lock’em all up!
July 1st, 20121:47 pm
HAHA wow. Just gotta tip your cap.
That’s why he’s not an All-Star…
Two misplays in two days for Bourn. More runs scoring with two outs and nobody on base.
Oh wow. That should do it.
July 1st, 20121:48 pm
Feel so bad for all the fans that went out to the park to support the team in this heat and this is how they repay them haha. What a joke.
Oh for !!#@
Lawn mower gassed up.
Ready to garden.
Bourn must be pouting about the All Star game
This is embarrassing.
Gio is 183-1 when given a 4-0 lead…
July 1st, 20121:49 pm
Including Little League, High School and Wiffle Ball…
I LOVE this team!
Sorry I was in a pessimistic pissed off mood before the game even started after watching the comical all star selections.
July 1st, 20121:50 pm
What a terrible inning. Uggla should have turned that Harper groundball into an out. Desmond never should have walked and Bourn should have held Ankiel to a single.
Even then Bourn was fighting a laugh it looked. Heyward covered his mouth with his glove after that, too. That usually means he was laughing. Unreal. Disgusting.
Braves signed Ben Sheets to a minor league contract!?
THye have to stop shopping at the dollar store for parts to fix their Porche. All they’re finding is duct tape.
July 1st, 20121:51 pm
Gonna be one of those days
Braves win it 11 to 8
If Uggs goes 0-4 today, his face should turn red and stay red right through all star week! Prado is batting .323 and Uggla is at .235 What a shame and a disgrace!
richbrave must be ecstatic!
July 1st, 20121:55 pm
……..@Jay Dubu……Are you a thrifty shopper?
Great effort by Hudson…Way to suck, right from the start. Veteran, big game, at home…nice effort Timmy Boy. Spit it out right away. Go sit in the air conditioned clubhouse.
Bourn, as he did yesterday, plays defense like an 8 year old. Way to be into the game. Nice job. If you’re not into the game, stay in the dugout. What a joke…
Half an inning in, and this game is over.
Great job, Tim Hudson and Bourn-Head.
Bring out the lousy Atlanta bats.
Hey Franki Wen goes out, and gets a washed up Ben Sheets. Typical Franki Wren. Worst GM in baseball.
The joke that is Atlanta rolls on…
July 1st, 20121:56 pm
……Braves in 12……final Atlanta 7……D.C. 6
July 1st, 20122:02 pm
Sat down and focused on the game—finally able to see the thing in the first; then as my eyes engaged the big screen I saw what appeared to be a really poor defensive effort by Bourn on that ball that bounced and rolled to CF fence. Man, I am disappointed the team has apparently taken the 1st inning of this game as a ‘get loose’ time and with such a professional lack of focus. Did Jack Wilson give the pre-game speech?
July 1st, 20122:03 pm
Huddy got ready for the heat . I like when Braves play an they get beat in first the first inning. Glad son has little league at three maybe they have a chance to play a game without an error. Sucks to Uggla an all star and no Prado. Ben Sheets will take us to the world series.Braves get shut out today get ready for the Cub fans next. Maybe we can get one of the wildcard and lose that game.
July 1st, 20122:05 pm
Updated Sheets story (with still more to come from Sheets himself)
July 1st, 20122:15 pm
Simmons fouled off 8 straight pitches in that 14-pitch walk
July 1st, 20122:21 pm
Great at bat, by the Bourn-Head…bases loaded…Gio can’t throw a strike…3-0 count
Mr. Bourn-Head lines out. The at bat of an idiot! Michael had to show that he not only a defensive joke, but in hitting situations as well.
BRAIN DEAD at bat. Joke and a Choke. Great job, loser.
July 1st, 20122:35 pm
Another strike out with a runner in scoring position. Worthless Dan, true to forum…But hey…Dan’s an All Star…What a head case loser…
July 1st, 20122:47 pm
Charlie it was actually a 3-1 count as they had it wrong, and he hit it hard just right at the SS,
if yer gonna whine like a 4 year old, at least get the facts correct
July 1st, 20123:16 pm
Tim Hudson, not content to pee down his leg in only the first inning, continues with his loser performance aginst the Nats. This guy is not a big game pitcher. He, Bourn, and Uggla continue to just go through the motions. No effort. Sorry it’s so hot. Tough duty when you have to play a game in the heat…and you’re only making millions and millions of dollars.
Nice going…take your team out of the game, before they get an at bat, and then continue to suck, as the game drags on. The effort of a loser.
July 1st, 20123:29 pm
Best swing from Freddie I have seen in a while
July 1st, 20124:21 pm
Worthless Dan, with another strike out. The Atlanta All Star embarrassment begins July, just like he sucked the entire month of June. Runner on 3rd, less than 2 out, Ross CHOKES, and can’t even put a ball in play. Diaz off the bench, dribbles one to the right side, an easy out, and rally killer.
That joke of a bench, put together by Franki Wren, a usual spits out another opportunity.
Thanks, bench boys, for being so lousy. Thanks Uggla. You are a constant disappointment. I’m sure you’ll continues your loser brand of baseball for 3 more years in Atlanta.
July 1st, 20124:30 pm
Fredi brings in Jonny V. in the 9th, to insure another Washington win. It’s good that jonnyand Fredi could do their part in the Atlanta Sucks parade.
