Good bunt JJ!!
Nice sac, JJ!!!
Teheran not ready for the big league rotation folks. Just not ready yet.
June 28th, 20128:30 pm
Simmons has been very good at the plate. This kid swings the bat really well.
Come on Bourn
@Jimmy….My guess on that….your question of the ‘brush offs” by Baurer; I assume the manager has given him this priviledge for his first game so he pitches to his comfort level.
(Rob from SC)
on twitter Keith Law says Bauer is getting squeezed
Who did y’all see? Roman Gal
June 28th, 20128:31 pm
Good sac fly, Michael!
ABC baseball right there, boys and girls!
Nice sac fly, Michael!!!
June 28th, 20128:32 pm
It wouldn’t hurt Bauer to shave that minor league beard off.
June 28th, 20128:33 pm
three ugly at bats for my man…Talk a walk if their giving it to you
Teheran gets bombed tonight. Yikes. ERA up 4.24 on the year.
Keith Law didn’t say anything about JJ getting squeezed because he hates the Braves.
June 28th, 20128:34 pm
Teheran’s final line tonight at Gwinnett:
3.2 IP 10 hits 9 runs, all earned 0 walks 4 k’s
Not pretty at all….Era at 4.50 now
June 28th, 20128:35 pm
One of these days Heyward will stop hitting those weak infield flys. I have disliked his at bats tonight.
June 28th, 20128:36 pm
Yikes. Hate to hear that about Teheran.
June 28th, 20128:38 pm
He seems in a rush tonight. Heyward is at his best when he works the count
June 28th, 20128:40 pm
Yeah, Heyward not having a great night at the plate. Still got a couple of at-bats to shake it off.
June 28th, 20128:42 pm
A perfect fifth for Braves Jurrjens, who’s allowed 4 hits, 1 walk with 0 K’s in 5 scoreless innings, and thrown 74 pitches (48 strikes)
JJ is looking really good tonight. Locating all his pitches.. Still not where he needs to be at velocity wise but he’s pitching smart. Mixing in offspeed pitches with his 89 mph fastball.

June 28th, 2012
Teheran 6 runs allowed, still in the 4th inning.
he’s just working on a few things….
June 28th, 20128:45 pm
Few more hours. Vote for ‘teen ‘teen.
June 28th, 20128:46 pm
Even the greatest hitters in the history of the sport had bad nights at the plate
Kid looks tough on LHH
Make that nine runs….no worries.
June 28th, 20128:47 pm
Chier looks good tonight–nice to see
June 28th, 20128:48 pm
should bad hops be considered hits or errors?
ya its brandon webb.
I thought the DBacks had the least amount of errors in the league or something like that.
I better start looking at my keys–Chipper see above error in my previous post
June 28th, 20128:49 pm
Heyward is due to start tanking again….
Won’t be surprised if he does or doesn’t.
June 28th, 20128:50 pm
Yeah, that’s just not good. Working on things or not.
The Phillies are making Jim Thome available to American League teams in need of help at designated hitter, two AL executives tell ESPN’s Jayson Stark. Ruben Amaro didn’t confirm that he was shopping the veteran slugger, but said “if there’s a situation out there that benefits both Jim and the Phillies, we’ll try to put something together.”
It’s actually D-Train!!!! 2003
Uggla strikes out again with 2 on and less than 2 outs. Yikes.
June 28th, 20128:51 pm
Dan is killing us…
almost time to go cut the grass..has it cooled down enough?
June 28th, 20128:52 pm
If it just takes a nasty hop then I think it should be a hit, but if the fielder doesn’t follow it all the way through into their glove should be an error.
Uggla strikes out so much the word “strike out” should be changed to “uggla”
Uggla is money.
Do yal think Freeman’s stance is too far from the plate?
June 28th, 20128:53 pm
Man that Uggla is terrible tonight and I am thinking he’s going yard……not!!!
8 LOB = BOO!!!
this is the inning JJ needs to get thru..there’s always one..
FF is killing us…
June 28th, 20128:54 pm
Brandon Webb won the 2006 NL Cy Young Award but he never one the Rookie of the Year Award.
Go ahead Dan……change it———”Metta World K”
June 28th, 20128:55 pm
Danny boy doesnt strike out as much as Kelesko did!
Getting on base is all that matters so LOB is actually a badge of honor….
If we had bases loaded, bottom of the ninth, down by 3 in the NLCS, I’d send a 53 year old Julio Franco to the plate before Dan Uggla.
Lets go JJ get through this inning and give it to the Pen!
June 28th, 20128:56 pm
JJ missing out over the plate
McFuggla is more like it.
bad feeling about the 6th??
June 28th, 20128:57 pm
Yeah, the 6th inning will be a test for Jurrjens. Allowing a leadoff hit to Bloomquist did him no good.
June 28th, 20128:58 pm
June 28th, 2012
or a 450 pound eric hinske…
Struggla is now a scintilating 3 for his last 39 AB! Time to take a seat this weekend and watch! MERCY
The A Bomb
Maybe Uggla’s waiting for his buddy Strasburg. Honestly tomorrow he should be off.
June 28th, 20128:59 pm
Why are these idiots talking about injury?
Just got home, and it’s good to see us going for the sweep. Just need to get Uggs on track…
Was Bauer on a pitch limit?
More whining and excuses about the finger…..
dang, hit and run got them out of the DP
June 28th, 20129:00 pm
McCann was just asking him if he wants to go to the Cheetah after the game..ticket stub, anyone?
June 28th, 20129:01 pm
Bauer was probably exhausted from his foolish 90 minute “wake the muscles” Fonda routine before the game….
June 28th, 20129:02 pm
Bring in someone….JJ is done.
The back of Uggla’s baseball card should read:
Dan Uggla 2B Atlanta Braves
Uggla’s bench press: 325 for 6 reps
Uggla’s squat: 400 for 8 reps
Uggla’s average with RISP: LOL
June 28th, 20129:03 pm
June 28th, 20129:04 pm
phil — NOT foolish, established and proven program. Jaeger throwing program out of SoCal. It makes sense. I credit Bauer for his dedication to his body. We’ll see how healthy he stays throughout his career.
As i was saying…
Can’t walk people..that’s the main thing
Nolieee……you were/are right about the 6th
just had a feeling it was going to go like this in the 6th
June 28th, 20129:05 pm
Good grief. I feel like the ultimate jinx…
I would have said that Jurrjens needed to be lifted before facing Kubel, but Venters sucks. The Braves offense is to blame for this tied game though.
June 28th, 20129:06 pm
Jurrjens gave up a leadoff single to Bloomquist and walked Upton before Kubel doubled in 2 runs, has NL-leading 26 RBIs in June
It’s foolish in 98 degree georgia heat….
It’s stupid too.
He looks like a bufoon doing it as well. TJ regardless. Just wait.
We stranded a few too many vs. the Rookie
JJ has to hold them here!
Don’t like the Monterro matchup.
June 28th, 20129:07 pm
Bauer signed a four-year major-league deal guaranteeing him $4.45 million with a signing bonus of $3.4 million.
Very foolish throwing program, indeed.
Good outing from Jair. I still think we need a starter though….
Jurrjens failing to get calls on the corners is ridiculous.
he’ll be lucky to get outta this
That’s the problem with pitchers who pitch to contact. Eventually, the balls will find a hole or drop deep in the outfield.
June 28th, 20129:08 pm
got my gf dancing on the table right now, that Cheetah talk got her fired up..she almost hit her head on the ceiling fan though..man, that was funny.
And Frank Wren hurries and gets his trading phone busy again….
I went to do the dishes…wth happened
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
