Colorado just beat Washington 11-10
There really is no good reason these days for Brian McCann to hit cleanup.
The Nats win so we can be dominated by the rook pitcher…
Rockies over Nats in 11.
June 28th, 20127:29 pm
JJ looks like he has his groove back. I love it! He was always my favorite over Hanson and some others. Please just keep it up bud
Does Trevor do back flips too?
Around the basepaths
Thank you, Rockies!!!
June 28th, 20127:30 pm
That double is on the blue..JJ had him struck out on the third pitch of the at bat.
Come on, Bourn….
(Rob from SC)
1B, LINE OUT, K, 2B, 1B, HBP, FLYOUT
HITS WERE BY THREE FORMER BIG LEAGUERS
Dbacks hot-hitting Kubel double off base of CF wall to start 2nd
The A Bomb
Bauer will do anything his energy drinks dictate him to do.
Actually in high school, the starting staff was Bauer and Mike Montgomery (Kansas City -AAA).
Only thing I can think of like that is one that never really pitched together — Fried and Giolito at Harvard-Westlake out here in SoCal — both first-rounders this year.
That’s alright. Don’t get rattled.
hit a good pitch
June 28th, 20127:31 pm
What is the deal with this umpire, Jurrjens third pitch was on the corner. That is three pitches Jurrjens has failed to receive a strike call that touched the corner of the plate.
humidor must still be broken (team run totals, Nats/Rox: 2/4 ; 12/5 ; 11/5 ; 10/11)
Teheran is vastly overrated…
June 28th, 20127:32 pm
Very picky ump
man, that looks like a strike
This may be the narrowist strike zone I’ve seen this year.
June 28th, 20127:33 pm
What does Jurrjens have to do to get a ball on the corner called? That is ridiculous.
unintentional intentional walk?
June 28th, 20127:34 pm
Haven’t seen the ABs, so I don’t know how they actually went…but just following the game on Gameday, it appears that Heyward is back to pulling everything to the right side again. Small sample size I know, but I just hate to see it developing into a trend.
June 28th, 20127:35 pm
5 TOOLS BABY
HEYWARD SUCKS! WAYWARD! HURTWARD!
wow, McCann actually held on…is that a first?
Another great play by Heyward!!!
WTG, JHey and BMac!!!!
Hell yeah!!! Jason and Mac!!!!!
Hot damn, Jason.
Do it all J-Hey, do it all!!!
Great play…..could feel it coming! Great job, jason!
Fat Kubel gunned down…
June 28th, 20127:36 pm
Nice tag, Mac!!!
Heyward is playing with confidence
June 28th, 20127:37 pm
Jason Heyward has become an elite defensive right fielder this season. He has always had the range and the ability to throw runners out at the plate, but he has honed his accuracy and now he is deadly.
The A Bomb
June 28th, 2012
what happened to the idiot from sacramento, chris?
Waffle House or Bust
Funny how all the Heyward haters hide when he is doing good.
Here come the BACKTRACKERS……A month ago he should have retired.
How about that throw, catch and tag
June 28th, 20127:38 pm
DOB, I am sure someone with all of your knowledge could come up with better questions than the usual will you keep running him out there? You have to tip your cap. Most important of all believe the back of the bubble gum card.
Hit Chipper Cleanup, Freddie 5, Uggs than Mac
Nice hit, Chipper!
confidence..it’s all about the confidence.
Chipper punishes agility boy…..
June 28th, 20127:39 pm
I wanna see the throw from Heyward, it should be a highlight in gameday….
And in strides twitchy Dan…..sigh.
June 28th, 20127:40 pm
Uggla can’t touch a changeup right now
I didn’t think dan could be worse this june than last but he is….
June 28th, 20127:41 pm
That would have been a ball if Jurrjens were pitching.
Phil- That guy is in Gwinnett still waiting for Jason to be sent down.
June 28th, 20127:42 pm
boy, MLB has got to do something about the guys in blue..how about that 3rd strike call last night on CHipper
Nice double, Freddie!!
Mac and Uggla are as close to automatic outs as you can get right now
June 28th, 20127:43 pm
Chipper will need a week off after that long run…
I guess Freddie’s eyes are doing better lately
June 28th, 20127:44 pm
Rick, you are right. This ump is heavily favoring Trevor tonight so far.
Simmons is awful…
Simmons didn’t get it done there
clear the pitchers spot..that’s ok.
June 28th, 20127:45 pm
the pitch to Chipper was a strike according to the grid
I hate it when that happens…
June 28th, 20127:46 pm
JJ needs to drill him! welcome to the bigs, baby..
won’t happen, i know, it’s the Braves..we don’t do that kind of stuff….dang it!
Braves fail to score after that 2nd and 3rd w/ 1 out sicheeation. Simmons 5-3 and JJ K.
June 28th, 20127:47 pm
Heyward has made two of those terrific, just about perfect throws to nail guys at home this month. Dude is having the finest all-around month of his young career, which is saying something considering the couple of months he had early in his rookie year.
Send Simmons down, Tyler woulda got that run home
June 28th, 20127:48 pm
Tyler would’ve gotten Uggla home
June 28th, 20127:49 pm
sorry, but Javy was a roid rage success story..
McFann :Ô: :Ô: :ô:
June 28th, 20127:50 pm
Wow—just watch Heyward’s throw/BMac’s tag. That was a GREAT play. Unbelievable throw. Very nice tag by BMac, too—Kubel needs to watch those spikes, though…
Moylan’s pitching in his first game Saturday in Gulf Coast League. Big step.
Fredi needs to sit Uggla for one game. He has played every inning of every game.
He has 5 K’s in the last 8 at bats. 0 RBI since 6/9.
June 28th, 20127:51 pm
guy still has the biceps..
Javy is still quite large!
Nice when the team asst trainer is about 40 pounds overweight…
June 28th, 20127:52 pm
“i give him the seegnal, he recieved the seegnal, i am the hero of the game”..love that quote by Javy!
JJ, you gotta learn to get that third out when you get two pretty easy ones.
June 28th, 20127:53 pm
shut the hell up gene like you know he did roids what a true braves fan you are talkin crap about one of our best catchers in the franchise, probably the best
where was that?!?
DZ, Uggla has played every game but not every inning.
This ump is really sqeezing JJ. Wow.
June 28th, 20127:54 pm
he did, i know.
June 28th, 20127:56 pm
ya, you know….
I thought Javy said, years ago, he did steroids
Frankly Gene, who really cares….
“i only got three words for this, ‘it don’t get no better’”…-Otis, my man, Nixon…also one of my fav’s.
June 28th, 20127:57 pm
Always liked Javy Lopez.
Tight zone has JJ a little edgy, but he’s fighting through nicely.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
