Seems to me that Daron Sutton was asking to be fired…

leading off on back to back pages! Nice

Chip Carey begs to be fired most every night simply by showing up with that stupid grin of his and his duller than dirt delivery…..

“People laugh at Atlanta baseball? I don’t think that’s true Georgie…there are about 10-15 franchises that would DIE to have the success we’ve had over the recent years”
Post 2005, our record is mediocre. That 15 year run is long in the rear view mirror now given the current economics of the game, the bad TV deal and current ownerhsip we have right now.
We have a team that is in the upper levels of mediocrity.
Some find that acceptable, others don’t.

The Nationals are first in the NL in overall ERA (3.11) and starters ERA (3.16), and third in bullpen ERA (3.03).
The Braves are tied for ninth in overall ERA (4.01), 12th in starters ERA (4.14) and eighth in relief ERA (3.77).

DS1 — It depends on which Yankee fans you are talking to.
Sure they are disappointed they are not getting to the series like they did from 1996 through 03, but they know that when October comes they will be there and always have a shot. They do not panic in the regular season.
They will be there again. Now, health permitting they should get back to the series, I think its a tall order for Texas to get bck there 3 yrs in a row.
They took a blow with CC and Pettite on the shelf for now, but if past behavior is any indication, they will find a way to get what they need at the deadline.
I cannot say the same about our bean counters at the deadline & it goes way way above Frank Wren whom I have defended as doing a good job for the most part.

Nice to know our Crusading Everyman’s snark isn’t just reserved for us:
Comcast Twitter Guy: “my apologies for the trouble, can i help?”
‘OB: “Yeah, if you can fix my reception for more than 24 hrs.”
Gold. Frickin’ gold.
June 29th, 20122:20 pm
Maybe not as good as one of Murph’s stories about his kids, still a funny one.
June 29th, 20122:21 pm
Some people find it unacceptable that there’s not a damn thing we can do about the Braves winning or losing.
June 29th, 20122:23 pm

don’t need a GPS to find a way to get what you need if you have enough money to buy it
June 29th, 20122:26 pm
DOB is predicting we get swept…
June 29th, 20122:27 pm
Hope We Clown Dim boys From DC tonight… Bro!!
Post 2005, our record is mediocre.
From 2006 through today, Braves have the 9th most wins of the 30 teams in MLB. For a down period, still pretty decent.
June 29th, 20122:31 pm
I think it’s idiotic for someone to think any fan is ok with not winning… We all want to win!! Some people understand that it’s not possible to win every single year much less 14 in a row!! You can run a very good organization and have more money than everyone and still not win!!!
June 29th, 20122:32 pm
Well.. Except for Don, Robert… and some others who seem to love it when we lose… but I’m not sure they would be considered fans!
my comment with a quote from Demaryius Thomas saying he never ran routes much and has to do it now with Manning in town is awaiting moderation. no curse words, no politics, nothing offensive in the comment.
June 29th, 20122:35 pm
Some people understand that it’s not possible to win every single year much less 14 in a row
i blame the parents of fans who are upset with even a single loss..
June 29th, 20122:37 pm
All Demaryius (Bebe) Thomas did at GT is run deep and lay the wood when he blocked!! Maybe the meanest blocker at the WR position I’ve ever seen in college… Kinda like Hines Ward was in the NFL!!
Didn’t help him learn route running much when he had Tim Tebow in Denver either!! I bet he’s excited to finally have a real QB throwing to him!!
June 29th, 20122:43 pm
Maybe sometimes… but I think “SECsyndrome” is at the heart of the problem
June 29th, 20122:45 pm
CrαZy – yes, not much he could do at GT and this speaks volumes about Tebow as NFL QB too. Those DEN practices must’ve been something to see..
Comcast having a field day here, enjoying DOB tweets –
Yep, gonna get on that next week when have time. RT @jpgolf3147: @ajcbraves I know you’ve heard billion times but @DIRECTV is the way to go. 36 mins ago
Yeah, if you can fix my reception for more than 24 hrs. RT @ComcastWill: @ajcbraves @Comcast my apologies for the trouble, can i help? 37 mins ago
Waited 3 days for @Comcast tech guy to come out. Installed an amp on my line. Had reception for 24 hrs. Now, nothing. That is all. 58 mins ago

I guess the only good thing about the heat is that there is virtually no humidity to speak of in ATL right now. At the airport it is 98 degrees with just 26% humidity (not bad at all for the south).
June 29th, 20122:52 pm
If its any consolation I read your comment.
June 29th, 20122:57 pm

Not that bad for August!!
June 29th, 20122:58 pm
I’d take 26% humidity for the south in August or December!
June 29th, 20122:59 pm
“Some people find it unacceptable that there’s not a damn thing we can do about the Braves winning or losing.”
That is part of being a fan — of course there is nothing we can do about it.
But we do not have to like it. Don’t have to like it when guys you really count on like Venters and Uggla just go out there and stink up the joint.
Only civil thing I can do is Boo them until they do better. Philly fans do that, why can;t we?
The lack of humidity is indeed the only saving grace….for now.
It’s supposed to be on its way by tomorrow….then again, Debbie was supposed to stay over Florida until today and it was gone by Monday….
June 29th, 20123:01 pm
I detest losing any game, but I’ve discovered that booing loudly in my den does nothing but scare the cats and aggravate my family…
I admit, I was a little hurt. I mean, I like the guy…
By the by, I can’t get your link to play the audio. Two sites, no luck. Wonder if it’s my machine…
June 29th, 20123:04 pm
“Chip Carey begs to be fired most every night simply by showing up with that stupid grin of his and his duller than dirt delivery…..”
He gets pretty excited on deep fly balls hit to the edge of the infield and shallow outfield!
June 29th, 20123:05 pm
I heard that the game is canceled due to injuries in the stand.
Peoples ballz are sticking to the seats cause it’s soo hot.
I don’t know about the audio. The first time it worked and the next time it didn’t. I’ve been having a problem with yahoo for a while now. I don’t know if it’s yahoo, my browser or my machine. Frustrating
June 29th, 20123:06 pm
BAS & Bat—I couldn’t get the audio to play either. Too bad, because I’ll bet it was funny.
June 29th, 20123:10 pm
Just not 100+ in June!!
June 29th, 20123:12 pm
Technically, it’s already July….
No. Wait. It’s June but it’s close enough to July to just let it be July….
June 29th, 20123:13 pm
Only civil thing I can do is Boo them until they do better. Philly fans do that, why can;t we? _ Disgusted
Brother you can boo them until your head explodes if you want too. I mean who’s stopping you. That said you have an odd definition of civil.
June 29th, 20123:14 pm
Philly fans do that, why can;t we?
philly fans do something – reason enough why we shouldn’t be doing the same
“Just not 100+ in June!!”
Eh it happens. Just be thankful that there is no humidity to go along with it. The ole dry heat, like out in Phoenix, where people deal with 100+ on a daily basis from at least June-August.
Not a fan of booing, let classless fans like the Phillies and Red Sox boo their players, I’d rather Braves fans not.
Damn, phil. Your 3:12 is makin’ my head hurt. I’m not sayin’ it takes all that much, but still…
June 29th, 20123:17 pm
maybe it’s already august….
June 29th, 20123:18 pm
Maybe I need to move somewhere with better weather!!
I guess I’d have to leave the US since the whole damn country is either 100+ or on fire!!
June 29th, 20123:19 pm
It’s the 33rd of August lord and I’m finally coming down.
8 Days from Sunday finds me Saturday bound.

The next time I read a blog, I hope that it does not disappoint me as much as this particular one. I mean, I know it was my choice to read, nonetheless I truly thought you would probably have something useful to say. All I hear is a bunch of moaning about something that you could possibly fix if you weren’t too busy seeking attention.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
