DOWN ON THE FARM

PELICANS feast on HILLCATS 5-1.

CHRIS MASTERS hasn’t improved any in his three starts since being demoted by the BRAVES. But as a LH’er they’ll give him plenty of rope before cutting him loose.

LHSP CHRIS MASTERS [L 0-3, 5.73 ERA] 6.0 IP, 8 H, 1 HR, 4 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 3 SO.

RHRP RYNE HARPER [0.96 ERA] 1.0 IP, 2 H, 1 R/ER, 0 BB, 1 SO. RYNE’s immaculate ERA gets dented in his fifth appearance for the ‘CATS.

RHRP JUAN JAIME [3.30 ERA] 2.0 IP, 1 H, zeros, 1 BB, 2 SO.

DH ED SALCEDO [.260 BA] 1-3, 1 RBI [31]

1B CHRIS GARCIA [.308 BA] 2-3.

Lead-off MYC JONES [.262 BA] 1-4, 2 SO.

SS NICK AHMED [.269 BA] 1-4, 1 SO.

Why does Fredi seem so aware of Uggla’s slump which has “only” lasted roughly 3 weeks or so, but he doesn’t seem as aware of…other…people’s…

I don’t know what difference it would make, but just…wondering…

It’s amazin’ how good UGGLA looks with SIMMONS to his right.

“…….Nolie and I talked last year about how much better of a 2nd baseman AGon made Uggla. The difference between Simmons and Uggla vs Pastornicky and Uggla is far greater than the difference between Simmons and Pastornicky. SImmons just makes Uggla better like AGON did……”

Actually tomorrow would be the PERFECT day to give Uggla the day off. Bauer may throw hard, but he throws a bunch of different pitches with movement and that would tie Uggla up in knots.

I think it’s all mechanics with those throws. I don’t think the SS out there makes a difference on where the throw goes. All they got to do is catch the ball and hold the tag right in front of the bag. If Mac throws one of those perfect beams to 2nd, even I could make the tag.

Who wants to be in 1st in June? Tired of this team going through the motions in September. Best case scenario would be being 3 games out the last 2 weeks in the season(okay maybe 2). Finish on a serious roll and build on it. I scoreboard watch the Cardinals, Giants, Dback, Marlins and now Dodgers b4 the Nats.
