Yeah, it is? I thought for sure I’d have at least one complaint for talking about fantasy baseball, faux Nobel prizes, and ham sandwiches instead of baseball talk.
WILEY continues to do whatever the BRAVES ask of him to the best of his ability. Lead-off seems to have been a tough assignment for him, but the independent league pick-up continues to hit singles, and get walks with a decent average. Nothing fancy just lunch-pail stuff, but it’s good to see one of my favs holding his own.

I brought this up two days ago, that Chipper missed the entire 94 season with a knee injury in Spring Training. He’d be almost automatic for 500 HR if not for that and would be a very high % HOF member without a doubt.
but ‘94 did have the strike, was only a half season. He did miss most of ‘04 I think, then part of ‘10. Jeff R seems correct in saying a year and some.

Yankees need rotation help but right now they are buyers not traders. Big difference unless Brewers would take a huge chunk of cash and no players. Free agency this winter could be interesting for guys like Greinke and Hamels. Even Texas doesn’t really have the young talent that the Brewers would want in exchange for Greinke. The Braves do, but a two month rental is tough to justify.
Team was 5-0 in his starts, 31.2 IP, 27 hits, 11 ER, 8 HR’s allowed, 10/22 BB/K ratio, 3.13 ERA, opponents slash line of .231/.289/.496. All of those earned runs seemed to come off of the long ball. He’s on pace to give up 33 home runs this year and walk 79 batters.
Hanson was on his way to being an ace before the torn labrum. He’s still a good #2-3.
Sort of the way I feel. He looked like a flat out #1 starter from his debut in 2009 – June of 2011. Capped it off with that great start agaisnt the Astros – think he struck out 13 or 14.
