David Ross is a much better catcher than B-Mac. Have you ever seen McCann throw out a runner at 2nd? I can’t remember the last he did that. His arm is weak. He can swing some wood though.

J-Hey showing why you can’t give up on young players. I honestly think at the deadline Wren should go for relief help and a bat like Willingham. Hopefully JJ keeps it up because then we can afford to not get a starter. If bullpen help is acquired and Minor continues to underachieve Medlen can move to the rotation. Till then he needs to be in the pen.

ChattTownBrain – couldn’t agree more. What’s even more frustrating is how mediocre a baseball player Cody Ross is but he always seem to somehow turn into an absolute stud against us. In fact, I think the word mediocre is being a bit too kind describing his skills. Would love to see him take one in the ribs.

The bullpen is teetering.

Equals… good enough to make the playoffs but more is need to win thereafter.

Now maybe some of you will shut up about Medlen being in the rotation. He hasn’t looked good since his two appearances before being sent down to get stretched out. You guys need to face facts. This team is a farce. Starting pitching is erratic, relief pitching outside of Kimbrel really sucks. The bench is the worst, and the regular lineup has McCann, Uggla, and Freeman hitting 3, 4, and 5th to effectively diffuse anything the other guys can string together. This is your 2012 Atlanta Braves. Learn to live with it because it ain’t gonna get any better.

I doubt he would give us many innings as a starter, I recall his numbers getting worse as the game went on and he didn’t seem to make it to deep in the games which would put the pressure on the pen again. Facts are is no matter how much folks like to blame Fredi if these players were doing their jobs, i.e. hitting and pitching, we would be a much better team. Black hole for a middle of the lineup and Minor underachieving so much its embarrassing. Not to mention the bullpen has been erratic and the bench virtually non-existent.

If you’re not using Medlen in the 5th inning, and you’re not using him to help set up late in games, why the hell is he in the ‘pen? It makes no sense. The bottom of the 5th was the perfect spot for Meds. Fredi needs to go..the guy is lost.

They wouldn’t, but if they ask McCann after the game why no plunking to Cody Ross, Brian McCann would say something like:
“Cody is a great player. He’s passionate and wants to win. I respect that. I don’t see a problem with what he did”.

Haven’t posted in a few days…..Been watching the Marlins seeing how bad Guillen is so I could try to develop a small appreciation for Gonzalez.
Didn’t work. They’re both horrible.
And Minor has upside but with him and Delgado back-to-back our winning streaks will never amount to more than 3 or 4.

And you liking this team is great jeffrey, because you should be pleased with them when they win no more than 84 games this year. Just remember, from the start I stated this team will win no more than 84 and right now, I have doubts that they can win that many.
