Now……Gonzalez takes him out. I bring in Meden at the beginning of the inning. But I do think Minor just wrote his ticket to Gwinnett going back out there and giving back the three the Braves just got.

Lil’, it doesn’t matter if it is a DH game or not, he normally gives up seven runs even if it is not a DH game.

Simmons error aside, Minor had the opportunity to limit the damage in the inning, but he just is unable to do anything correctly when runners are on base with the slightest hint of adversity. I would expect a roster decision coming sometime within the next day or two regarding Minor and Delgado.

Sad part is that I feel Minor will still make his next start. Fredi will say it pitched well but that one error in the 5th really hurt him. Ho hum

MIKE MINOR is the biggest loser in MLB. What a joke. Fredi G. is such a bleeping idiot for running him back out there.
Simmons hands them a free run.
Bottom line…winners win…Chokers find a way to lose. This Braves team is so full of chumps, it defies imagination.
Add to that McCan’t and Uggly in the middle of the order… BRAIN DEAD.

….well, at least I’m not the only one on here who doesn’t fawn over McCann….
jeffrey d, his injury wasn’t late last year, it was July – so he’s had almost an entire year now to “fix” his swing (which, I believe there was an article a week or two ago about how, after hours of watching video, he finally found the “flaw” in his swing and fixed it)….yet, same results. His OPS has gone down each year from 2008 to now – .896, .835, .828, ..817, .724. His strikeouts have gone up every year since 2008 (last year would have been higher, had he not missed so many games). That’s not a slump….that’s a career decline, at age 28. Y’all get over your love affair with McCann…jeez…

The Braves have time to put four runs on the board, but that would be extremely unlikely. If only Minor had any mental toughness and the Braves could actually put together fundamental approaches at the plate, this might have been a fun game to watch.

Again….Medlen to the starting rotation…….Minor to AAA……..and a relief pitcher either traded for or brought up from AAA. NOW……if you are serious about wanting to win this year. You just can’t have a rotation with both Minor and Delgado in it. Period, You can’t with them both in the rotation. Simple.

Knew he was good for giving up at least 1 more homerun before his stupid ass was pulled. What a f’n loser this guy is. This is the same dude that in spring training said if I am not in the rotation I want to be traded? I think he is his own biggest fan. You couldn’t get a case of big league chew, or sun flower seeds for this loser. Regardless of the error, Minor still gave up another walk, and another back breaking homerun. Wonder how the offense feels? They fight to get back in the game, and that useless waste of space gives all 3 runs right back. This dude should be in minors, period. He is simply not good enough to pitch at this level. I hope they can get a Matt Garza, Ryan Dempster, or Zack Greinke, otherwise they are done. Hard to win many games with a 2 man rotation.

Clearly Minor and DelGado need more work learning to keep pitches down, and they’re not going to get it in the starting rotation here. We better hope JJ is over the hump and gets it now. This rotation is weak in its current state.

I believe young Delgado and Minor will be good Major League pitchers. But, right now they are predictable losses–or at best no decisions most the time out. Time to give Medlen his chance. The Braves have a so lid baseball team other than they have two number 5 guys in the rotation. Won’t always be that way, but in 2012 that is the way it seems it will be. Minor should probably go to the bullpen. He does really well in early innings.

Mike Minor the head case strikes again. How could you let this guy anywhere near the mound in a meaningful game in September/October? You can’t have success at this level when the guy you walked, standing on first, is torturing you enough to erase 3 innings of good work.

JJ is a good pitcher who was pitching horribly. There was no guarantee he would do what he did but honestly pitching with something to prove I thought he might do well, just not that well.

Sure Fredi….have continued confidence in your starters and, by all means demand they get in at least 85-100 pitchers per outing prior to the ‘hook.’ Forget the fact that he might just be finished for the day; or maybe has some untold funk going on…..and you know funk Fredi that’s for certain–but it’s all good Skipper……sometimes you just can’t shake the city blues….everywhere you turn you lose!!!

When McCain is catching……………his target is always down the center of the plate. He can’t handle the pitchers. Minor walk the first batter and our catcher never went out to the mound to calm the pitcher down. Second walk and McDowell never came out of the dugout to talk to Minor. You never see McCain move the target for the pitcher inside , outside and up when he catches. The pitchers get hit hard becuz his target is always down the center of the plate, i.e. the last home run minor gave up. Ross is a better catching handling pitchers and maybe he needs to be behind the plate when the young guys are pitching.

I can’t believe as many times as Cody Ross has so oviously showed up the Braves that somebody hasn’t thrown one at his ribs. They had to have seen that hard bat flip towards our dugout and he did it his first time, too. IMO you can’t let that prick get away with that.
