I’m in favor of the DH for the NL but it would be a dream for the field commander, who could add complexities to his “retail” scheduling that would have all our heads spinning.
Is it the DH that makes so many middle of the inning pitching changes? I like the NL where you try to get through an inning and use a PH before the reliever. Or double switches to skip the pitcher batting. A lot more strategy rather than just having an extra slugger. That’s just me.
well, another problem with the DH is that it allows managers to leave starters in longer and thus use their pens less, meaning they are fresher come playoff time .
YES is wondering where all the fans have gone from the all but empty stadium bleachers? Waaah, it,s too hot. Will ESPN show those empty seats and mock NY fans for being wuses? Not likely.
I’m in SC and it’s hotter in NY right now than it is here. It’s 88 here and 92 there. Love it! Suffer you rats, suffer! Good news for you though, 96 there tomorrow. HA!
This is how you tell the difference between a World Series caliber team and an imposter. The Yankees keep watching pitchers and waiting and making them work while the Braves to to the plate hacking, hoping to hit a home run everytime.
The were fortunate to get out of the inning but they seriously need another bat in that lineup.
This is what I predicted would happen a few weeks ago. Durbin would pitch over his head for a few weeks and Fredi would start giving him greater responsibility. To be fair, though, it’s not like anyone else is stepping up.
You people…..other than Kimbrell…..Durbin has been the Braves best reliever….and especially lately. There you go, double play ball. Now…..go cry about something else.
Braves don’t need another bat in the lineup, they just need to alter their approach back to how it was in April and May, take more pitches, walk more, plate discipline

On the other hand, if Durbin can get it done on a day like today, even I might have to revise my view of him, LOL.
