Hanson would be leaps and bounds a better pitcher if he had composure. Ive never seen a bigger poutier baby than when he makes mistakes
I hope the ‘good’ Venters is pitching today!
Brooklyn Braves Brawler
Here we go! Oy!
If we lose it’s all your fault!!
Uh-Oh, Hanson’s pretty model girlfriend sitting in the stands today may be ready to dump him now! Just remembered though, he gets paid the same whether he stinks or not, doesn’t he? Never mind!
June 20th, 20123:06 pm
Venters not looking good to start with
The A Bomb
When some of you wonder why people like myself intelligently despise the way Gonzalez runs the club, there’s your perfect example.
1. 100 degrees
2. Hanson tweaks hamstring — moonshot last inning.
3. Allows 1 homer
4. Finally makes a change after a 2nd.
Guy just lets the game come to him. And now we have a Venters sighting in the SIXTH inning. This game typifies the button-pushing chaos under this guy. He could have shaken hands with Hanson after five — now we have a game.
Kind of a boring game.
I second this. You know better than to ballgame! before the game’s over.

I wish he’d called Swisher out on strikes on principal. J@ckass!
I’m really starting to hate Swisher. Hope he ends up wearing an Astros uniform next season.
Here We Go!
Good for you Gerry Davis, don’t let him show you up like that.
Nuggla you better believe that if he had a career ending injury she would have her bags packed in a day
The walk sets up the double play.
PLEASE THROW STRIKES!
Take your damn walk, Swisher, you whined for it enough.
Who hit our homers? 4 of them I hear?
Oh, great. Now we can let Venters blow it for us. Why isn’t he down in Gwinnett trying to figure out how to pitch again?
Walks are better than homers. Venters is just setting them up for the double play.
I really despise Fredi. Takes too many unecessary risks.
Sons of Rick Matula

This game had the look of the the two teams changing uniforms … The Braves were loose and free swinging. The Yankees looked flat and disinterested.
But that seems to have been only temporary.
“Ease” must be watching a soccer game!
Sure, bring in Venters…… hmmmmmm…… lead is slip, slipping away
Pretty much the entire pen should be available for the remaining few innings…..
Hanson gave up 4 taters? So much for owning the yanks, huh?
June 20th, 20123:09 pm
Wow DOB. Two “damns” from you and its just the sixth inning. Pace yourself.
No matter how this turns out,, don’t know how this would be Fredi’s fault?
Jim Powell discussed Fredi Gonzalez using relievers according to lineup (match-ups) instead of inning. We need to give Fredi some credit for that.
This is like a bad Venters dream.
Swisher annoys the junk out of me.
You got what you deserved, Swisher!
3-6-3-4-6 double play!
Simba totally faked Swisher out there
June 20th, 2012
SAY IT AGAIN
Jonny "Drama" Venters!
June 20th, 20123:10 pm
As abrasive and annoying as Swish can be, there are plenty of games that I would love to have his spark. He has shown more personality in one game than Fredi G has in a year and a half
Sic ‘em, David.
It’s always Fredi’s fault in blog land!!
I gather Hanson wasn’t overly sharp today?
Awesome, the good ole 3-6-3-4-6-2-7-4-1-3 double play…
The Yankees have come all the way back and tied the Braves for the number of HR’s hit.
Venters is no longer the 8th inning guy, he now gets inserted whereever Fredi thinks he can get 1 or two outs.
June 20th, 20123:11 pm
Is Nick Swisher the son of Steve?
If my addition is correct, after 68 games the Braves were 21-11 WITH Chipper in the lneup and 15-21 WITHOUT Chipper. We better figure it ot or next year will be a really, really long year.
And Venters can’t pitch?????
Hard to believe how mediocre Hanson still is after a few years in the bigs. Always around 100 pitches through 5 innings. Just as likely to go 2-3 innings and give up 5 as he is to go 7 scoreless.
Help me out somebody. Get we get a detail of that play for those of us at the office.
If we Lose, its All youR Fault!
Let’s get some more insurance runs!
Glad that worked out, but I don’t trust Venters at all.
June 20th, 20123:12 pm
Yes Swisher whined for his walk, But Jonny Drama accomodated him.
Thats better! Swisher is a cocky SOB isn’t he? Acts like the whole world revolves around him…. Of course he does play for the Yanks, where there are tons of cocky players. Seems like the only player on that team with any humility is Derek Jeter.
Doofus(Goober and Gomer's Smart Brother)
Hey Swisher how’s that karma thang? Bit you in the butt didn’t it?
They are advertising Yankee cologne here…….. must smell like smug.
He wasn’t awful…this should pretty much sum up the game so far:
Sweeny Murti @YankeesWFAN
11 base hits in this game, 8 of them home runs.
If we lose it’s all your fault!!”
And you can take that to the bank!
He has shown more personality in one game than Fredi G has in a year and a half
“Personality” is not the word I would use.
Naaa.. Tommy pitched really good it was Fredi that gave up the runs!!!
June 20th, 20123:13 pm
For those of us scoring at home, Ha!
June 20th, 20123:14 pm
Talking Chop @gondeee
Braves Sign Reliever D.J. Carrasco to minor league contract
Tomahawkin 2:49 pm We Got This Game in The BAG!
Tomahawkin 3:02 pm Big Red Just Got SLAPPED
We Bet Not Blow This!
Talk about some major mood swings.
I’LL SAY IT AGAIN TOO!
June 20th, 20123:15 pm
Actually, he was. Four homers in that park, in today’s conditions, probably more like one, on any other day. Seems to me that he baffled ‘em pretty well.
Ease- Have you made that phone call to Aruba, yet?
AT&T — the most irritating company in America.
2011 – Flash Mob
2012 – People singing in cars (the new trend).
That clinches it — I’m shutting down my landline.
gondeee like his or her eee’s. We’d be best friends for life.
They are advertising Yankee cologne here…….. must smell like smug. –Kat
Ha! Love it!!

BravesQueen Frustrating, isn’t it?
Yeah, it kind of is…
“For those of us scoring at home…”
If not, you need to get out more often.
Hey scoots nobody said personality is always a positive thing haha. Im just tired of Fredi being uber passive about everything. I guess I was spoiled by Bobby standing up for his players no matter how right or wrong he may have been
June 20th, 20123:17 pm
Tomahawkin’s WAR will move to negative figures if we lose this game!!
Watching Francisco against a lefty sidearmer is like watching Godzilla trample through Tokyo.
4 strike outs for Rapada…we can’t hit the crafty lefties at all…this guy hasn’t thrown above 83 mph.
3/35 BB/K ratio for Juan Francisco. That’s just not a major league ready bat. Probably would slam Triple-A pitching, though.
June 20th, 20123:18 pm
What’s in Aruba?
Good. Rapada coming out.
June 20th, 20123:19 pm
Not Natale Hollaway?
thanks Scoots and Cab…
maybe we’ll pull it out.
Dang if i were Giraldi i would have left that guy in. LOL!
10 strikeouts on the day so far… got to love that.
June 20th, 20123:20 pm
Francisco should be starting 3rd baseman in 2013. Future star, possible superstar stud.
The Beach Boys?
The guy faced 4 hitters and struck them all out!
That ball park really is ridiculous in the gaps, Heyward catches 2 of those HR’s at a trot in Atlanta
June 20th, 20123:21 pm
The Every-day Durbinator up in Braves ‘pen
In blog land Fredi is the whipping boy for all ills. Unfortunate because Fredi, is a better nanager than most.
Chad is going to try to get us to the 8th.
6 runs on the day so far…got to love that.
June 20th, 20123:22 pm
The Yankees will come back and win this game, just cause the Braves batters on flailing at everything and the Yanks got to many boppers coming at them.
Ya know, i never thought I’d say this, but I’m ready for the NL to get the DH too. I have always thought it gives the AL an advantage in the playoffs as they have a paid bat for that spot, where the NL tends to have to start a bench guy.
Plus, watching pitchers hit sucks
CTB — Did you see my ‘thank you’ earlier?
June 20th, 20123:23 pm
WHY DOES VENTERS SUCK THIS YEAR?
June 20th, 20123:24 pm
Everyday Chad just like my man, Everyday Oscar Villareal
I hate the DH, but I think I agree with NickB, either everyone should have it or no one should.
There are not getting rid of it in the AL, so let’s change the NL.
Great job, Rossy!
June 20th, 20123:25 pm
nice inning for Venters. Love seeing 0 runs by his name
Nice at bat Rossy!
Ross would start for 33 other teams.
odds caught up with him, he was getting exceedingly lucky the past 2 years with his wildness
