Uggla was like going to Vegas and losing. Seems to be how all of Wrens visit to sin city turn out.
3 hole hitter: .237 BA
4 hole hitter: .249 BA
Not a recipe for offensive success.
Is it a team rule that Freeman has to swing at the first pitch no matter what?
Freddie is having a Jason sophomore year
FF has to swing at everything. Starting to question this boys intelligence
Dan Uggla: Impact Player. Worth every cent.
tired of the Atl
June 19th, 20128:06 pm
uhhh, what is Uggla’s WAR again? If it’s Walking back After whiffing with a Runner on…he leads the majors!!!
Freddie’s trying to go yard also. This team has got Andruwjonesitis!
Doesn’t losing stick in anyone on this team’s craw?
I’ve never seen a manager that looks so helpless as Fredi does. Reminds me of Brick.
AJC headline: “Jurrjens could help Braves now” Really? Has he learned to hit?

Good thing I have my scotch.
June 19th, 20128:08 pm
Now announcers talking about Braves as a small-market low-payroll team. Such a damning indictment that I can’t help but laugh.
Nice walk Freddie. Very good at bat.
Even when they r playing good the braves are clearly a step below the best teams obvious by our games against the yankees and nationals….so the best thing for the franchise is to rebuild it. if your not good enough to when it all then what r you doing? so here is what we do….
wait for uggla to have one of those 2 week monster stretches and then trade at max value….it is a weak market for impact bats so the haul should be pretty good
mccann is starting to find it again so you wait for him to get his numbers up and trade him to an american league team for a decent package
trade bourn to the highest bidder not in nl east…again legit leadoff hitters are rare so the package should be pretty good
ask chipper if he wants a 3 month head start on retirement or if he wants another shot at a ring..if its the ladder then send him off to a contender for a something decent but nothing great for average hitting 40 year old
trade ross to a team desperate for catching help…there are actually a lot of teams who need catching help
put prado back at second, make sure the prospects you get back include potential center fielder, left fielder, 3rd baseman, catcher and one frontline pitching prospect.
put innings limit on anyone coming back from injury(hanson, moylan, venters(fatigue) medlen)
AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD FIND A REAL MANAGER!!
Nice AB after that 1st pitch swing
Okay, time for Chipper to return to Chipper-like hitting here!
June 19th, 20128:09 pm
Y’all talking about Beachy coming back and pitching next year keep in mind Medlen was hurt in July and pitched two and a third of an inning the next year. If Beachy has TJ, count on him for 2014 and not before.
Have a good night everyone. Ron is going to finish off this bottle of scotch and watch Baretta.
June 19th, 20128:10 pm
off the ankle…15 day DL starting tomorrow
Swinging at just about everything. Is Andruw Jones the hitting coach?

Unfortunately, I don’t feel too confident with Chipper here…. I’m so wrong…
See CJ opening his hips early. He’s cheating because his bat is slow
June 19th, 20128:11 pm
Medlen was hurt in August
It will take to much to get Ryan Dempster. He has a 14 million contract this year with another 3 million he could earn from bonue. He also has 3 million owned him in defered payment. He has a no trade which he would need to approve which would be more $$. Plus he is a free agent at end of year.
Cubs woulds also ask for 2 or 3 very good minor league players.
DOB I believe this is right based on Cots contracts and Insider…if wrong let me know.
Braves must get something they can build on, not another Tex deal.
And he proved me wrong… thanks Chip
Cool. Got around on that sucker.
June 19th, 20128:12 pm
That RBI double is such a pleasant sight.
Chipper silences the critics once again. First with the barehand play and now with the RBI double.
HE DID IT HE DID IT!!!!
Atta boy, Chipper
Chipper!!! Doesn’t looked to washed up to me!
First extra-base hit and RBI for Chipper since his May 18 leg injury
Nice job, Chipper. Well done.
that’s 1 play, he needs to keep it up, small sample size, ya know
And Freddie is one slow dude
June 19th, 20128:13 pm
Come on Jason, a big ole tater would be nice here.
There are not a large number of guys that would have scored from first on that play
June 19th, 20128:14 pm
Freeman wins the Fred McGriff speed demon award this year. Dude probably could not win the Tool Race at the Ted is he was running full tilt.
Could Weyward get two hits in one game?
If Freddie were J-Hey or Andrelton or Bourn, we’d have another run. But alas, Freddie and B-Mac are in the same category – s…l…o…w
nice walk Jason… Let’s go SIMBA. Get you a slam right here.

Great plate appearances there from Jason. Waited for his pitch and never got it.
Good patience by JHey
I like the patience from Freeman and Heyward in this inning. I just hope they can score another run, but it is doubtful.
Nice! Heyward coaxes a walk. Loads them up for Simmons!
June 19th, 20128:16 pm
Uggla woulda scored.
Watch out Chip, you barely got back. Lucky cuz of a “bad” throw
June 19th, 20128:17 pm
WTG Jason, cost us a run there. You can’t go to 3rd before Chipper scores. Make sure you’ll get there. GEEZ
Heyward with a baserunning blunder. Still a kid.
Yeesh, Jason. Too aggressive.
Nice job by Simmons.
Even when the Braves do something correctly, they still suck. That will bite them in the rear end soon enough.
good lick Andreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
June 19th, 20128:18 pm
What, you thought things were going to just up and turn around that easy. Nope, when you’re slumping things like that happen
That Richard Simmons is the real deal….
Great job by Simba with the 2-out RBI! JHey overeager on the bases that time.
Gotta know who’s running ahead of you, if thats Bourn running in front of you then you can try and stretch it out to third but not Chipper, Mac, or Freeman.
Wayward strikes again. What a bozo..We will lose by one.
All Heyward has to do there is hold up, get in a rundown to let the second run cross the plate. Braves would be up 4-2
June 19th, 20128:19 pm
J-Hey thinking “I created a run with my aggressive baserunning before, I can do it again.” NO you can’t!
Fredi is Dumbo 1…..and Heyward 2…just awful….take a little success and put it in the toilet with stupid inning stopping, run robbing, foolishness.
Baserunning blunder by JHey, but it’s okay. Not like Hinske woulda driven in a run anyway… lol
A shutdown inning would be nice for Hudson, but it will be tough. These Yankees seemingly score at will when they are down against the Braves.
Heyward is a bonehead
I agree about Jason…but damn we’re slow
June 19th, 20128:20 pm
Jason Heyward you stupid MORON!!!!!
All Heyward has to do there is hold up, get in a rundown to let the second run cross the plate.
This. And especially with Chipper running.
Sucks when your whole team is slow!
Lil' Barry Bailout
You see Jeter running and pointing like a little leaguer? Yeah we know the run didn’t score you phony boloney
But you guys are right..you have to make sure that throw is headed to the plate..
No he’s not..
June 19th, 20128:21 pm
“Meebo.com will be shutting down on July 11, 2012″
good hopefully when they shutdown they take that stupid popup bar with them, that this is starting to get annoying.
Yankees don’t make mistakes like this.
Dang Freddie…. hope your Abs aren’t hurt….
June 19th, 20128:22 pm
Also made the last out at third. Moron.
slow and can’t field ..damn
you know you are in a slump when things are going your way (in the game) and bad breaks still go against you.
Heyward and the rest of this brain trust need to understand these Yankees play smart and are fundamentally sound defensively….you’re not going to take advantage and get greedy on them.
The error by Freeman will be costly.
June 19th, 20128:23 pm
I definitely see the Braves lead holding up!
anybody got a link to the game
If Freeman doesn’t want to play go sit on the bench you wuss.
TOBF: Freddie has abs? Who’d a thunk?
What the heck is Freddie doing out there?
This ump is soo inconsistent it is absurd. The low strike is only a strike for one pitcher apparently.
we know who the boneheads are…
