That’s a “respect the great player who’s retiring” vote. Cal Ripken’s numbers were way worse than Chipper’s in ‘01, yet he started the ASG.

Forget Chipper making miscues that could cost his team runs. If you actually LOVE Chipper, you should hope he doesn’t get killed at the hot corner! He’s old. His reflexes aren’t what they used to be. If he takes one off the head because he can’t react quickly enough, he could die!

More weak at bats for the Braves in the 7th. I really wish they would grind out at bats and work the count like they once were capable of doing. It just feels like a matter of time before the Yankees regain the lead and waltz to a victory.
