Much as I love Chipper, I can see where people are so annoyed by him. Look at how he maunched that gum and talks out of he side of his mouth. Especially after errors like he just made. Same robotic emotion.

You can call it disrespect if you like. But let’s be honest; it’s the hot corner. That statue of Chipper is in danger of getting seriously hurt over there. You’ve gotta have reflexes, and his are long gone. I wouldn’t want Mike Schmidt out there either. When it’s time, it’s time. And he shows it each time he makes an infrequent appearance at 3rd base.

Braves are finished scoring, they reverted back to their impatience approaches in the 5th inning.

At what point does Chipper become too embarrassed to continue the retirement tour?

Fredi should yank Hudson as soon as he allows a baserunner. He’s done. Having said that, it will not happen.

“if it weren’t for snitker/Heyward the Braves would still be up.”

I understand the Heyward rap because of his baserunning blunder, but what did Snitker do? Throw an anchor around Chipper’s waist while yelling at him, ” you’ll never make it! You’re 40 years old going on 50!”?

Right now, everybody is a target for blame the way it has gone as of late.

Its not just Chipper or Heyward or anyone, everybody is a target now.

Plenty of blame and frustration especially when its the same bunch who pissed it away last September. The ATL has run out of patience fair or not.

Danville opener tonight. 18 year old RHP Mauricio Cabrera went 4 IP, 2 hits, 1 ER, 2 BB’s and 4 K’s. Plus curveball, plus changeup, solid-average fastball. 6′2” 185 lbs with room to add more velocity, currently at 90-91mph.

Remeber at the start of the season when all our hitters were battling, drawing walks, extending pitch counts, etc. Now the Braves pitchers seem to be facing that in the other teams they play.

This team has the talent to hustle and take the extra base resulting in a run, or have a great AB that results in an RBI double, or a wicked throw from the outfield to nail the runner at the plate. But then those same players bobble the ball or make a baserunning blunder. Inconsistency that is frustrating.
