Ok J-hey screwed up…no need of all the name calling. At least he was busting his a@@.
Probably didn’t see it with those screwed up eyes
June 19th, 20128:25 pm
Huddy not looking good tonight.
Been the difference in both series, walks. Got to trust your stuff and throw strikes, pitch ahead.
Crap! Seems like Ibanez running threw off Huddy’s focus.
Nick Swisher laid off some close pitches.
Yeah, more worried about Timmy having 2 on with only a one-run lead.
Is it me or does Freddie seem to be pouty a lot?
First error of the year, guess he might be human afterall

Dylan 80’s era song, 60’s era photo. He wishes he looked like that in the 80’s.
June 19th, 20128:27 pm
Shouldn’t Snitker have been giving Heyward a stop sign? With Chipper running, it was smart of him to head to third because he figured the play would be at the plate.
Announcers now dissing Braves bullpen leading up to Kimbrel. Calling the middle-relief and set-up guys “a little shaky”. Gotta agree.
June 19th, 20128:28 pm
there is the difference in payroll. they have Chavez we have Francisco….
Yea Snickers should have been waving him back towards 2B
Hudson gets in love with that breaking ball and cutter. Neither are all that great of pitches imo.
June 19th, 20128:29 pm
Huddy can’t get any calls so his pitch count is sky high.
June 19th, 20128:30 pm
Come on, Huddy….
Chipper looks scared to death at third base…
Chipper and Bourn giving away runs with their defense tonight. Wow. If it isn’t one thing….it is another.
PRADO makes that play!!!!
tired of the Atl
June 19th, 20128:31 pm
Hudson hasn’t been helped by his defense.
Wow…are u kidding me…the hot corners have let Huddy down this inning
Damn Hoss what you thinking about?
Yep. The Braves can never strand runners and shutdown innings are so hard to come by. Take a lead and they never can hold it. Chipper sucked on that play too.
“The error by Freeman will be costly”
That is just sad to watch
Jeter gonna kill the Braves again? Might wanna walk him.
He giveth and he taketh away.
June 19th, 20128:32 pm
Wow! Did Chipper just olay that?
Swisher might have been out right there….
June 19th, 2012
When did Bourn give one away…I must have missed it
Trying to keep the ball off of his leg…
MFin04: yup, thinking a 2-run single here.
The A Bomb
GAWD DORN IT!
June 19th, 20128:33 pm
Huddy up to almost 90 pitches. Yikes!
Everything bad that goes against the Braves ends up killing them. What is the deal with an inability to hold leads?
June 19th, 20128:34 pm
That was strike three right there.
Not a coincidence that Braves losing with the old man in the lineup
Chipper looked old on that one.
Tim Hudson: your go-to, momentum-riding stopper.

Chipper please just GO AWAY!!!
Where was that pitch?!!
Whoa Huddy and Mac, gotta wait for the ump to call it first.
Though that call was shi*
Bull crap. That was a strike.
Is that Ump Jeter’s cousin?
Lil' Barry Bailout
Chipper is semi-retired…you can’t expect him to make every play.
Wow. That was a strike.
Huddy not getting any of the close calls. Even the Yankees announcers are siding with Hudson.
Blue is not good
Errors, errors, erros … bad umps
June 19th, 20128:36 pm
The wheels will fall off and be nowhere to be found in a matter of a few pitches to Granderson.
c’mon Chip. you’re supposed to be a leader…
we need you to make a play not butcher one.
Shoulda walked Jeter to begin with, but whatever.
That was inside. Nice call by the ump. Mac set up inside.
As much as I hate to say it, if Chipper is going to play like that, he needs to go ahead and retire. That was just bad.
And Huddy’s getting robbed on balls and strikes.
sorry for the blank post….nice to see the Braves hold onto that lead!
Dear Chipper: Please retire. It’s time for you, and the Braves to move on.
New York is Jeter’s town, if he doesn’t swing it’s a ball darnit
McCann sets up too far off the plate
They need to lift Hudson pretty soon, not good enough tonight.
He has not had much help from the defense and another loss for tonight.
Falling Closer To .500
Someone look it up! Quick! How many times have the Braves gone 3-2 on Jeter in the last two series? At 3-2, he either gets a hit or walks.
Braves notes: Uggla lengthens All-Star lead; rainout rescheduled
Jeter should have kissed the ump after that call – and the ump should have kissed Huddy!
June 19th, 20128:37 pm
MLB needs better umpires.
Just give us 5 innings, Tim. Hopefully the pen is up to it.
I see why the Yankees payroll is so high now, a portion of that goes to the blue’s.
Way to hang tough Huddy
Good job under the circumstances by Tim.
Still winnable. Gonna need a miracle from the bullpen tonight…can Kimbrel go 5 innings?
can we ever just get ahead and stay ahead?
Once again, the umps show us why their union sucks, and why we need replay.
June 19th, 20128:38 pm
After tommorrow nite — NO MORE YANKEES . Thank God. I would hate to be in the AL East, you almost never have a chance to win.
4 Base runners
Jason is a smart kid…..just overly aggressive on the paths. Huddy is not giving up–he will fight, that’s why I love the guy. That inning should give us at least a faint good feeling, c’mon guys let’s go now.
I’d pull Freddie to the side if I’m Hudson. Thats two fold though since FF has saved his pitchers and IF with his glove. Still though, I have a feeling young Freddie needs to toughen up a bit.
June 19th, 20128:39 pm
5 outs that inning…
Chipper w/ an extra.
and the ump w/ an extra.
can’t believe the NYY didn’t score more there.
Why do people have to automatically blame Chipper’s error on being 40..sheesh..he did get a double and rbi and if it weren’t for snitker/Heyward the Braves would still be up.
Don’t blame Chipper for not scoring on Heyward’s boneheaded play
That downfall started with a seemingly harmless error and snowballed into a stressful inning for Hudson. He luckily escaped it, but the Braves already have their 3 runs so they will pack up their offense for the night.
Medlen/Martinez/Durbin/Varvaro better be ready to go.
TBbraves fan — The answer to that question is a cold unemotional NO.
At what point does Chipper become too embarrassed to continue the retirement tour?
Take a look down at Gwinnett tonight: Buddy Carlyle took over in the second inning after JJ pitched is 1 inning tune up. Buddy has thrown 4 innings 2 hits 0 runs 1 walk and 7 k’s…his era is down to 2.11 now….
June 19th, 20128:40 pm
Chipper has the reflexes of a 45 year old. But we have to accept the inevitable. If the Braves managment has a chance to win with another option at 3rd or play Chipper knowing he doesn’t have it, they will continue running Chipper out at 3rd base……. whenever Chipper feels like he wants to play.
It’s more important to give Chipper his gold watch than it is to actually try to win, huh?
Heyward’s baserunning blunder not such a harnless youthful mistake now.
Chipper is not going to retire in the middle of the season. Please stop “demanding” he do so…
I’m embarrassed to be a Brave’s fan tonight..with you people..your disrespect for Chipper is an absolute embarassment
Poor Kimbrell is not going to get any more save opportunites the rest of the yr the way things are going.
June 19th, 20128:41 pm
If Uggla is an all-star 2nd baseman, that’s a sad commentary about NL 2nd basemen.
Nice AB by Shrek.
Braves keep finding ways to tear up a steel ball just when you think there could not be any other.
Hinske swung at two pitches out of the zone. A Yankees’ batter would have walked on four pitches n that plate appearance.
June 19th, 20128:42 pm
Isn’t hitting the DH 9th defeating the purpose of a DH?
ski’s next out will have him batting below .200
cabravesfan…it wouldn’t be as obvious as that, c’mon. It would be an injury-related thing. You know, like every time I protect my leg on a hard grounder I tweak my oblique. So I gotta hang ‘em up.
tmmykk — Chumpper is not playing well and that is a fact. Its not a matter of disrespect its all the bottom line where he is not helping them win as of late. Both at bat and in the field.
He is not the only one.
No personal disrespect, just disrespect for losing and losing should not be treated with respect.
June 19th, 20128:43 pm
“Why do people have to automatically blame Chipper’s error on being 40..sheesh..he did get a double and rbi and if it weren’t for snitker/Heyward the Braves would still be up.”
Yeah I mean when he was 30 years old, he got hit in the leg by a one hopper and lost time over it because it damn near killed him! Him being in the lineup about as often as Haley’s comet shows up has nothing to do with his age does it?
