But, but, but…….. they’re the mighty Yankees. The invincible. They scare the crap out of other teams. The Braves are intimidated by the Yankees.
(maybe they are just lulling us into a sense of security tonight!)
LOL, I hope they keep up this lulling business through tomorrow. The wife, daughter, and I are gonna be in attendance.

Perfect sixth and seventh innings for Minor, who has faced only 20 batters (two over minimum) in past 6 innings
Minor has allowed only four hits and one walk in seven scoreless innings, 64 strikes in 95 pitches

Cool watching young pitcher Minor starting to figure out pitching in the major leagues….
Is it that or the fact he knew this game could’ve been his last in the majors for a sec with Medlen over his shoulder.

If I were in the dugout, I would have to let Minor draw a crowd just to see me kiss his butt because I have bad mouthed him so often. He has pitched a gem so far tonight. I didn’t think he had that in him.

Brava, right. Get a real slugger for the outfield like they’ve done so well with for the last decade. I mean, we’ve had how many productive seasons from the corner outfield spot in the last 15 years? Go ahead – name the seasons. Not that many at all. But you keep on going thinking that Jose Constanza should be playing everyday vs. Jason Heyward. You know more than every scout, analyst, stathead and front office personnel.

Looking at our system none of our prospects right now project to be impact hitters like Freeman or Heyward were. They are crucial to this team’s success going forward. Both guys are gonna be counted on to be our top producers very soon. If one of them don’t work out completely or both fail to meet expectations this team will be in trouble offensively.

C’mon. So Efrim is “bitter” that Heyward is not playing up to potential? Well what do you call your attitude towards him? You don’t have any idea how to give the kid a break. He’s a heckuva lot better player than you give him credit for.
We see more positive comments from you concerning Constanza than we do for Heyward, who is world’s better as a player.

Maybe you think you aren’t hard on Jason, but you should hear yourself some nights. You really are hard on the kid. He had a bad year last year due to that shoulder issue. Some folks think he was milking it, but I’ve had shoulder tendonitus, and it affects everything you do.
And he won’t be 23 until August this year.
Really, not trying to give you a hard time, but from my perspective you are way harder on him than you are on guys like Mac and Freddie.
Just sayin.

J-Hey isn’t that great but then again most young players aren’t great. They have growing pains and some work out and some don’t. Jason was pretty young when he broke in and i’m willing to bet those injuries altered his rise more than just not being good.
On another note, in the Yankees defense about not homering off the homer king, had they been playing in their park they would have tagged him for a couple of cheapies. Thank goodness for regular dimensions.

Obviously the defensive replacement part makes sense.
But you yank the guy with the great numbers against CC for the guy with bad numbers against lefties instead of letting the guy with the great numbers against CC, who’s already hit a three run double off of him earlier, take another crack at him with the bases once again loaded.
Bizarre to me…
