Oh, and by the way for those of you who thought Cox was a donkey —

No Braves team under Cox was ALLOWED to be UNPROFESSIONAL like this on the field. Ask Andruw Jones what happened.

Losing is one thing — not playing the game the right way is totally different.

Talented? Yes. Professional? No way.

Cubs winning today maybe we can match that12 FIRE FREDDI. It isnt the injurys that so bad it are scrubs Hinkski Diaz Wilson Boscan. WE let Nats Flores look great last night today its Adams today. We brag about Livan last night ESPN said he could roll out of bed in Dec. and throw strike and go muti. innings but what they failed to say he would give up 4 or more runs. FIRE FREDDI I bet he will not be are manager when we ever win another playoff game.He never deserved a chance to manage a major team. I know I will not be going to many games this year. THis team is in trouble.

You can’t blame anyone for having half your offense out on the DL or sick. Actually you can. The Braves depending on a 40 year old with injury history to play enough games to make a difference at 3b without having a real backup plan can be blamed on Wren.

Of course with the pitching staff suffering from injuries, no wonder they are struggling. Wait a minute? Other than the minor league roster, there are no pitcher injuries. They just stink. Of course that isn’t Fredi’s fault is it?

we are getting to June and the Braves self-assessment should not be too flattering to say the least. We need another bat, another starter, and another relief pitcher. We are playing well below our talent level. Why don’t the Braves continue to emulate the Marlins, fire Fredi, and hire Jack McKeon for the year?

The Braves have the talent to be a post-season contender but it is time to put up or shut up. If the BRaves fold, they will be sellers at the deadline. Expect Michael Bourn to be sold off to the highest bidder. Hanson and Jurrjens will also be available. David Ross would fetch a nice prospect in return for a contender that is catcher needy. Venters or EOF could bring back a significant return and Prado’s value is peaking right now. Minor and Delgado would have significant value. Then there is McCann…….

The Braves could rebuild in a hurry selling off some of their assets while keeping Freeman, Heyward (it would be selling low with JHey), Kimbrel, Beachy as a strong core. That would have to be a fun proposition for Mark Cuban.

Standing pat does not appear to be an option for these Braves especially after last season’s collapse

The A Bomb

May 28th, 2012
4:38 pm

When you have backup players at the major league level the EXPECTATION should be that they would EXECUTE a fundamental play just like a starter.

The bench players are also very good players supposedly, because they’re on a major league roster. But if Hinske can’t cut it at 1st, then put Prado over there. Jeezus. And if Pastornicky can’t make a split-second decision to go to first on a play in front of him then call a real shortstop up — arb clock be damned. I don’t know why it’s tolerated.

Braves are very unprofessional right now.

Bring back Cox for the rest of the season and then get someone who means something for ‘13. This is a team with way too much talent to be wallowing around like this.

In recent years, there have been some teams that have come into Atlanta with a huge Southeastern following. Not unusual to see lots of Cards fans, Cubs fans and even Mets fans.

It was really funny listening to Sutton and Powell on the radio when Venters entered the game. They were talking some silly crap when Venters went 3-0 on the leadoff hitter and neither even acted like it was a big deal. WTF? Venters lucked into a ground ball, gave up a walk and a hit and finally got out of the inning. When you make excuses for your kids bad behavior, they never learn responsibility or accountability.
