I do not think I can take anyone on the Braves broadcasting team (redio and TV) serously.
They are nothing but a bunch of corporate suck ups.
As for Fredi, it is not a matter of who would you want to hire, its that this thing has fallen in to such an abrupt collapse that you HAVE to make a move, after September we know he just cannot do the job.
Its not all Fredi’s fault so there has to be a housecleaning of the roster I don;t care how young they are.
Guys lile Hanson, Freeman, Heyward, etc did not become as good as they were supposed to be. Pastornicky is not the answer either.
Minor is a bust, Delgado is a work in progress and Hanson is a second rate average pitcher, maybe a 4th starter type. The way he pitched today that might be generous.
Hudson is done and Beachey is not winning either. Venters is done EOF sucks, Christhian Martinez sucks and the pen in in a mess too.
Chipper and Mc Cann can’t play anymore either so we are in quicksand.
With Fredi as manager I wonder if Bobby’s ejection room has been remodeled into a meditation center, or maybe a habitat for humanity? Or maybe it’s now a rec room for the umpires?
We’ve actually talked about moving to STL,so I’ll have two teams to go for. One I know are huge disappointments, and I will not subject myself to anymore garbage. Cards are winners and do it the right way.

I would predict a major drop off in attendance tomorrow night but the Cards do have a lot of fans in the area, as evidenced by today’s crowd and noise.
Those of you who think Fredi won’t be gone need their head examined.
When Wren fired Parrish over Gonzalez’s head after the “feed to the wolves” comment last year showed exactly the mindset of the GM. Gonzalez has been managing for his job all season and now that we have a 2nd round of proof (#1 being the 0-4 start) that this team shuts down for long spurts just like last season Gonzalez is on his last legs.
Whether it be Fregosi, Brundage or anyone else this team gets way too caught up in its successes and stops working. But Braves need someone to come in and be a dictator who’s not going to accept streaks of unprofessional losses.
St Louis was everybodies’ team in the south before the Braves arrived. There are still a lot of holdovers down here, along with their children and grandchildren.
It was said on ESPN that Atlanta is one of the worse professional sports town because there is a lot going on in the city. Could it be because the teams SUCK big time? The Hawks are good enough to get to the playoffs and falter with a Max player who is basically a role player, The Falcons are good enough to get to the playoffs but has not won a playoff game since Dan Reeves, by the way he was ran out of town….. go figure! Now these Braves who choked away a playoff run last year and didnt make any moves, now their true colors are showing and it turns out that they are a terrible team! Blow the Braves up! Do not sign McCann to a max deal, trade Minor, Delgado, Heyward, and Pastornicky! Bring in the young guys and let them play their way into the majors. I would rather watch young guys play than to keep watching this crap!
It’s not going to matter how well rested venters is when the braves are in last place late in the year!! Why would Gonzalez bring Hernandez in last night when the game was close and pitch venters today when it’s out of hand!! Stupid!!!!!
Without Leo Mazzone, no decent pitcher wants to sign with the braves. Atlanta has become famous for destroying good pitchers careers. I can’t figure out if Jeff, Mark and Carroll are employed by the Atlanta Journal or the braves public relations department.
This has everything to do with expectations and execution. Hanson may have pitched poorly, but not covering 1B or home is inexcusable and while ys, there have been key injuries and illnesses the team ON THE FIELD should be EXPECTED to give MAXIMUM effort.
Team could have and should have won at least 2 of the 8 losses during this streak. But Gonzalez as a leader allows this team to fall into a mental abyss that is difficult for them to climb out of. This team is manic — high highs and low lows. And that is strange considering the guy leading it shows nearly zero emotion.
Haven’t listened/watched any of the Braves since about the 3rd game in Cincy. I follow the scores (get updates on my phone, etc.), but I refuse to listen/watch any of this mess. They better get things fixed soon. This feels too much like the end of last season. If they are still stinking by July, folks around here will already be in football mode and the Braves will be abandoned.
Both Braves and Hawks need real ownership (not some faceless conglomerate)! At least with the Falcons it feels like there is an owner/leadership behind the team that craves winning and will take serious steps in that direction. Not so with the Braves/Hawks.
trade Minor, Delgado, Heyward, and Pastornicky! Bring in the young guys and let them play their way into the majors. I would rather watch young guys play than to keep watching this crap!—-ATL SPORTS TEAMS SUCK…..
UMMMMM all those guys you mentioned are young guys so you want to bring up some 14 year olds???? or what oldest one in that group is minor and he’s what 24?????
I am all for seeing what minor could bring in a trade but what you are saying in bogus
This is a group that had some glowing scouting reports as they were developing (Hanson, Heyward, Freeman, and others) but have not been as good as the projections made them out to be.
The development has been too slow.
I agree there is a leadership deficiency, but for the alleged talent thesse guys have, it is a disappointing result. You did make good points about the mistakes we keep seeing on the field.
As for Minor, all I can say is WOW, that flop was uncalled for.
I disagree about the talent level, the organization hyped up the prospects more than what they were and the team is paying for it in the standings.
There is nothing I can think of that could get me thinking optomistically about this team;s future except if someone like Mark Cuban would come in and free us from corporate ownership. It would be a start.
May be bogus erik, but I am tired of watching the same crap from the same players. Its clear, they cant cut it in the majors! Bring in more young players to play for the ineffective young ones, if that makes more since to you! Anyway who cares?????? They Suck!

No 200 hit seasons. Only 2 190+ hit seasons.
Just too injured. Look at the stats, just a HUGE fall off in production.
I’m no Yankee’s fan, but I do make an exception for Jeter and Mo.
Maybe Jeter is the only HoF SS of our era. Arod was a SS and has the ‘roid cloud.

Well, they could always be worse. Maybe we should let them play against a kids tee-ball team.

Don’t they have height and WEIGHT limits for T-ball?

It’s not going to matter how well rested venters is when the braves are in last place late in the year!! Why would Gonzalez bring Hernandez in last night when the game was close and pitch venters today when it’s out of hand!! Stupid!!!!!

Without Leo Mazzone, no decent pitcher wants to sign with the braves. Atlanta has become famous for destroying good pitchers careers. I can’t figure out if Jeff, Mark and Carroll are employed by the Atlanta Journal or the braves public relations department.

DIsgusted — this is a talented group.
Team definitely needs a new skipper.

He needs to go too.

The Braves should worry more about playing the game right rather than doing these stupid commercials I have to bear through.

LakeDawg, it’s almost a sure victory. Then again, the way the Braves are playing they would probably get blown out against them, too.

A-Bomb—

They Suck!
