N8, you sir are on fire.

Completely agree…I’m also rooting for whatever it takes to get Fredo and McDowell fired…

I’m now also convinced that to “save his job”, Wren needs to have a productive “fire sale” when the time comes.

I’m thinking also deal McCann to the highest bidder in the AL would also be helpful, hopefully Bethancourt can develop into a version of “Molina”…great defensive catcher with good athletic ability who hits decently but plays and isn’t as likely to miss games as McCann (worried about the wear tear on McCann and aging as well).

Most of the team look like a bunch of zombies on the field and in the dugout…in contrast to the Cards who look lively and excited to be playing.

Chipper is gone after this season. Finished! Gone! Not around! Everyone acts like it’s of utmost importance that he returns fromm the DL ASAP!

Why?

When he returns, he will only play a few games a week unless he is injured again then he will play 0 games a week. He can’t be counted on to be a cog in the Braves playoff run simply because….. he CAN’T be counted on!

Let Chipper be the goodwill ambassador and do his farewell tour from the DL. You have to pay him but that doesn’t mean he has to eat up an active roster spot. Let him dress and wave to the fans but get him off the 25 man roster so someone else can get some PT and prepare for next season when Chipper will NEVER dress out again.

Not very confusing, but Memorial Day is to honor the fallen.
Veterans Day is to honor those who have served or are serving. America, in general, seems to confuse the two.

Anyway, 6-2 now. First and third with no outs for Cards.

I don’t know if Fredi should be fired. I don’t know who should go and who should be retained.

I DO KNOW this team exhibited competitive character flaws last September with their record breaking fold. They did nothing over the Winter to fix roster issues. They followed with a terrible Spring in Fla. They started the season being swept and loosing 4 in a row. They played over their heads for a month. Now they are on an 0-8 run. In essence there is something seriously flawed about this team and common sense would suggest that ignoring those flaws with a “we’ll get ‘em tomorrow” attitude isn’t going to fix it.
