Hinske should be DFA’d after this. He set this up and Hanson isn’t nearly tough enough to overcome that sort of adversity. Hinske a great clubhouse guy my ass. So silly and stupid. You play to win,not be comfortable PS3 buddies with teammates. Fat lard is a joke as is most of this team.

Don’t even know what to say/type. This team looks worse than it did last September. No one is stepping up…they are feeding off of each other…in the wrong way. This is bad, folks. Maybe we just aren’t very good. Have to keep rooting anyway!

I completely agree Fredi G needs to be fired along with Frank Wren. We’re still paying for his his panic signing of Lowe.
Fredi is not a players manager, Braves didn’t even interview anyone else just handed him the job. You never ever heard Cox say negative things about his players ever…even if say a pitcher went out and got shelled for 10 runs in 3 innings, Cox would say ah well I thought he threw ok, just one or two pitches….
Fact is Fredi should have stepped down after last years collapse, much like Francona did…..but since fredi is not a mans man, he should have been fired.

Hanson, Heyward, Jurrjens, Venters and Minor were supposed to make up a huge part of this team’s core. Right now they’re all screwed up, to varying degrees.

This team pretty much blows in every aspect of the game. All 25 of them. Save maybe Kimbrel and perhaps Prado right now. other than that, they all suck.
yeah. I’m including Chipper, Freeman and Mac in that group because being available is half the battle. Doesn’t matter if we have the NL all-star team. if they are all unavailable to play, it doesn’t do us much good.
Watching this team play baseball (if you want to call it that) is about as entertaining (perhaps less) than watching a turd spin around in the toilet before eventually disappearing for good.
Something this team will likely do very soon.

It’s so clear Fredi is the problem. How could anybody say with a straight face it’s not. A manager, or a good one, will guide his team through injuries, etc. This man has shown TWICE now in his year and a half as manager that he cannot guide his team through any sort of adversity.
He has to go.

I’m actually now rooting for this losing streak to get to whatever number is the number it will take to get Fredi fired.
Because even if they turn it around, he’ll manage to find a way to screw it up when it matters.
Fredi’s gotta go. And it’s time to possibly grasp that all of our “untouchable” prospects should be VERY touchable if somebody wants them.

Most of that is directed at Wren (for not finding an ample replacement for the 60 or so games most people knew he’s miss this year), and to Fredi for not insisting that your 40 year old guy with bad knees DH’s in the AL park.
Not Chipper’s fault he’s old (and if you’ve paid any attention, you would recognize that I’ve harped that Chipper is this team’s MVP so far. No ifs ands or buts about it.
19-5 when he starts. 7-18 when he doesn’t. Enough said.
I don’t give a rats ass what Bourn has done.
Chipper starts, this team wins. Period.

The Braves will spit out the next 2 games, to go to 10 losses in a row. The good news it that the Bozo Braves WILL NOT lose on Thursday. (THANK HEAVENS FOR AN OFF DAY…’course the Brave have been “off” for a couple weeks.)

Last time I checked the manager makes out the lineup. If Chipper was DH in Tampa, he’s still in the lineup and somewhere along the line the Braves likely win a game or two because of him. Period. He also chose to PH Chipper and restart the DL clock.
As for Durbin and Livan? Fredi doesn’t have to pitch them when a game is close. Many other options.
Fredi could put Medlen in the rotation and put Minor in the pen. He could start Livan if he wanted.
Don’t act like Fredi is innocent in this mess. Because he’s not. .
Besides I’m still pissed for last year.

Venice, I get your point. I really do. Players still have to play. But, you don’t think leadership means anything? If not, why couldn’t anyone manage? In professional sports, it’s more about handling players, leading, and motivating than it is day to day strategy.

What’s funny to me is when the Braves were going great and really swinging the bats what does Fredi G say oh well at the end of the year we will be known for our pitching….what kind of jerk says that?????
