Mazzone was a mean tough old son – of -A – bitch and would not tolerate a pitcher coming to the ballpark with a hangover. losing every monday for eight straight games tells even the idiots that support McDowell whats going own. We need someone to make sure these millionaires show respect for the game. Bring Leo back and stop the boozing.

@cowdogit…. Maybe I agree with you and maybe I dont. But why worry about it. You or I neither one can make it happen. So lets just enjoy our team and quit complaining.

I know the Braves pride themselves on being professional, but I’d still like to see one of them come off the field after a bad inning and go balistic in the dugout. Or maybe Freddie could actually come out of the dugout and go ape s@*t over a bad call. They are in a funk and need something to shake them out of it!

they’re not waiting ’til September to pack it in this year – and I thank them for it…that’ll save us fans the heartbreak – oh and plenty of cash that would’ve been blown at games hoping against hope for a wild card birth…think we’ll go deep-sea fishing this fall instead!

What do you think the best course of action to get the Braves back to a winning ball club?

Freddi answers: “Gee i dont know? um, maybe fire me, Wren, and sale the team away from Liberty Media.”

Well thats the first thing that Freddi Gonzalez has answered correctly.

@Seattle Braves That would not prove a thing. Management has nothing to do with hitting and scoring. Just stay status quo. They will come around. Be patient.

cowdogit and others post good suggestions here and yes I think they need a tough “dog in your face “kind of guy to play the role of bad guy when he needs to get in players faces.

@Tommy, I have just now quit laughing at your post that the Braves would be 2012 champs. I am far from an expert, but from reading some of your posts, I get the distinct odor that you think you are. I give the Braves credit for having playoff talent. They do. They lack leadership, and that will ultimately undo them. Someone has to pick them up. Look at the Cardinals… Berkman goes down and Craig stepped up till he went down and Adams, a call up, is stepping up. Jon Jay went down and now Shu is stepping up. Carp has not pitched an inning all season, and Lance Lynn has stepped up. Name me one player that has stepped up and taken a leadership role for the Braves. You can’t, because no one has. Positions are being manned, but not a single player has stepped up and helped this team; NOT ONE. Hence, the lack of leadership. And even though he has managed only about 50 games in his career, Mike Matheny is already a better and wiser manager than Fredi, who just kinda seems lost. Again, a lack of leadership. Braves will pack it in again after # 162, and the war cry will again be “Wait till next year”. Just like all those years under Bobby when they were the best team in the league but packed it in after #162. Someone else always had better leadership.

Already signed off but will answer you one more time. You are full of it. You would not know a championship team if it stared you in the face. If you think you can do better, get a job with them and prove it. If not then Shi Hu. I will leave you with what I think of you. Moga Moga Chi Chi Miki lau so. Sayonara JERK.

Even though you have already gone, I have got to add that I bet I know more about championship teams than you. The Braves are like the old Platters song… The Great Pretender(s). Do you know the winningest NL team this century? St. Louis. Do you know who has more WS championships than any other team not named the Yankees. St. Louis. Do you know who has the most NL playoff wins this century? St. Louis. They have the history of being a winning franchise, and the Braves… well, they are just known to repeat the ole slogan “wait till next year”. The road to the WS almost always runs through St. Louis. Not every year, but most of the time. It has not run through Atlanta this century, and until they find some leadership, it probably won’t. Smoke that in your TeePee.
