I give Minor two more starts and I am pulling for him.
All I want is signifigant improvement and put them in a position to win the game. Even if its a L or no decision, I want him to make better pitches in tough situations.
If he cannot pitch with men on base, in the MLB, you cannot keep him on a contending team that has competitive aspirations like the Braves are in right now.
Im looking up the last 2 nights because thats what these eyes are seeing but I guess in your mind Nolie/Lawton, Uggla must have not struck out in the 1st inning with Prado on 3rd with less than 2 outs in back to back games.
i respect more the bloggers who hate a player for whatever reason and admit it than the ones whose hatred is clearly evident but they still want to justify it hiding behind 2 ABs.
the last two nights? Thats your sample size? Forget it dude. Baseball is based on failure nobody succeeds all the time and every player who ever played had way longer streaks of failure than 2 nights. Including Babe ruth and Ted Williams
I’m not judging him im just calling him to not swing at obvious 1st pitch balls. I’m asking him to take a more conservative approach instead of chopping down Red Woods.
Ok Nolie/Lawton and Cricket are the same person because nobody is putting that much effort into other peoples posts to look other peoples stats………but whatever.
Lawton—Uggla does give fans some frustrating at bats from time to time, and his woeful first half last yr still might be in the mind of some people.
Imagine what his numbers would have been without that 33 game streak.
Now, I like Uggla and there is no other more productive second baseman in recent yrs I can think of other than Robinson Cano. Maybe make an argument for Dustin Pedroia. But first impressions can lead to erroneous perceptions.
The numbers that Dan has to date are more than acceptable.
@Keylargo….I think alot of that stuff goes on herein–last night I made what I thought was a funny comment re: Ozzie and got bombed by a Darth Obama….who, by the way writes similarly structured lines on this blog under another moniker–kicks, they enjoy the ‘kicks.’
If we can only get Heyward to get hot with Freddie that is a big yes.
If you can have a hot Heyward, Freeman and Uggla in the playoffs—Now you can expect something real nice for ATL fans for a change–a reverse of the disappointments we have had over the last 12 months.
We deserve a break from the disappointments we have had for sure.
Ok lets see who is who……

I think Vainece and Cabraves are the same only because Veinec Beach is in Cali and I dont have no proof beyond that lol.
But people post under different names just to try to say their somebody elso so they make it appear that they have a majority of people behind them.
gamesday Scout says Beach Boy may start losing effectivesness…after 45 pitches players are hitting .229 against…Sheesh really? Minor would take that in a heart beat.
My alter ego is Proton…………… and there was a time, way in the past when I was associated with that dastardly Wayne in Utah. But now, Wayne is dead to me!
VJ was Vinings Jim before he moved out here and Smyrna Jim before that (I made him change it because I got tired of having to look up the proper spelling of Smyrna- and I have no idea if that is correct)

Interesting conversation. It’d be darn hard to say that one guy is a lot better (or more valuable?) than some others. For a rookie Pastornicky could be worse.
He has a likeble offensive game, defensively, there are things that he has to work on and some of that could be improved.
In two yrs, Simmons should be the starting shortstop. More of a natural for the position.
