I give Minor two more starts and I am pulling for him.
All I want is signifigant improvement and put them in a position to win the game. Even if its a L or no decision, I want him to make better pitches in tough situations.
If he cannot pitch with men on base, in the MLB, you cannot keep him on a contending team that has competitive aspirations like the Braves are in right now.
I do want him to believe in himself

Im looking up the last 2 nights because thats what these eyes are seeing but I guess in your mind Nolie/Lawton, Uggla must have not struck out in the 1st inning with Prado on 3rd with less than 2 outs in back to back games.

For a rookie Pastornicky could be worse.
He has a likeble offensive game, defensively, there are things that he has to work on and some of that could be improved.
In two yrs, Simmons should be the starting shortstop. More of a natural for the position.

the last two nights? Thats your sample size? Forget it dude. Baseball is based on failure nobody succeeds all the time and every player who ever played had way longer streaks of failure than 2 nights. Including Babe ruth and Ted Williams

Lawton—Uggla does give fans some frustrating at bats from time to time, and his woeful first half last yr still might be in the mind of some people.
Imagine what his numbers would have been without that 33 game streak.
Now, I like Uggla and there is no other more productive second baseman in recent yrs I can think of other than Robinson Cano. Maybe make an argument for Dustin Pedroia. But first impressions can lead to erroneous perceptions.
The numbers that Dan has to date are more than acceptable.
As you said, facts–that is what its about.

If we can only get Heyward to get hot with Freddie that is a big yes.
If you can have a hot Heyward, Freeman and Uggla in the playoffs—Now you can expect something real nice for ATL fans for a change–a reverse of the disappointments we have had over the last 12 months.
We deserve a break from the disappointments we have had for sure.

Interesting conversation. It’d be darn hard to say that one guy is a lot better (or more valuable?) than some others. Obviously, Chipper brings loads of experience and confidence when he is in the lineup. Mac being a very good hitting catcher gives the team a dimension most teams do not enjoy. Bourn for being the catalyst. But I’d almost agree that what Freddie does in the 3 slot and his excellent D might put him ahead of the others.
Heyward, Prado and Uggla can’t be forgotten either.
Hard thing to determine four shore.
