In Roy Oswalt’s last 15 games last year, he averaged less than 6 IP per game, 10 hits per 9 IP, opponents BA .290, ERA 4.25…
Horrible stats…. and this is who Jo Nicca wants… I’d figure that after being that bad and the Cardinals (I believe) offer you 10 mil, you’d take it. Anyway, the braves can get those numbers for 400k not 3 mil.

I am so sorry, I did leave off so many from that list. I’m not really into the bald look, but yeah, Huddy and Jonny V are alright.
How, oh, how did I forget Kimbrel and Medlin and ‘Teen? And MattE Diaz???? And Fab 5 with his goofy cute self? And Michael Bourn does have a pretty smile, as does Jason Heyward. I just want Heyward to cut the hair.

So, MLB tells us that they want to place more emphasis on winning the division.
So, in 2012, they will reward division winners by sending them on the road for the first 2 games of the Divisional play-offs. (Just like 1995-1997).

DOB: When JJ got demoted to AAA, one of you guys interviewed him the day after and there was something he said that I found kind of odd. JJ mentioned that he hadn’t looked at video yet but was planning on it to see if there is something he is doing different. Considering he had been struggling in spring training and the entire season at that point; if he truly was physically healthy(like he keeps on insisting); wouldn’t the video room be the first place he went looking for answers? When I first read that I thought to myself, “Either this guy is lying about being healthy or he is not very smart”. Anyways, I am curious what you are hearing from the coaching staff on JJ and whether they think this is a mechanical issue and whether they have actually looked at video to see whats going on. I mean you have a guy who in the matter of 10 months has gone from a pitcher heading towards a possible Cy Young award and should have been starter of the all-star game to a pitcher who can’t even compete on the major league level(and possibly minor league as well). If in fact he is truly healthy then the issue has to be with his mechanics.

Minor should only get one more shot to correct things, and he doesn’t even DESERVE that. Having Medlen, Hernandez, and Martinez to eat up innings has been a wonderful thing for the bullpen, but it’s all moot if Minor can’t hold up his end of the deal. Personally, if Minor blows chunks in his next start, I think the thing to do is to bring up Teheran. If that doesn’t work, then you have pretty much have to put Hernandez or Medlen in the rotation, and possibly bring up Cory Gearrin to go in the ‘pen.
