I personally think the “100 pitch” Barrier is dumb you should just look at the players and you can tell when their done. Also leaving them out there when there getting lit up because they havent gone 5 innings is really dumb too.

Boy, sounds like we had a great game! I DVR’d it, so I’ll prolly go through the highlights tomorrow or something…

Ah, Nolasco…he’s a good one. And allow me to fill in a couple blanks I left…

1st inning: Ah, boo…

3rd: RBI DOUBLLLLLLLLLLE!!! :D AVG up to .256!!!

(Why the crud isn’t Gameday working, anyway? Two nights in a row already…)

End of the game: YAY, BEACHY!!! You ROCK!! CONGRATS!!! :D

There. That covers the basics, I think…

DOWN ON THE FARM

GWINNETT

G-Men drop a 2-4 decision to the BISONS. TERHERAN suffers through another hit-fest and brief start. 86 pitches roughly half for strikes. Not good, not good at all.

RHSP JULIO TEHERAN [L 3-2, 3.31 ERA] 2.2 IP, 7 H, 4 R/ER, 5 BB, 2 SO. I’m sure somebody will spin some silver-lining out of this line. My comment….MEH!

RHRP BUDDY CARLISLE [1.80 ERA] 2.1 IP, no hits, 3 SO. Great middle-relief stint by BUDDY!!!! Kept the G-Men in it.

RHRP JAYE CHAPMAN [1.86 ERA] 1.0 IP, no-hits, 1 BB, 2 SO. Solid as a rock.

RHRP CORY GEARRIN [1.19 ERA] 2.0 IP, no-hits, 1 BB, 4 SO. Sa-weet!

The relief corps was exemplary tonight.

C J.C.BOSCAN [.205 BA] 2-3.

PH JOSE YEPEZ [.230 BA] 1-1.

LF STEF GARTRELL [.257 BA] 2-4, 1 R, 1 2B [6]. 1 BB. STEF’s on a tear raising his average almost forty points over the past couple of weeks.

1B ERNESTO MEJIA [.296 BA] 1 2B [11], 1 RBI [30], 1 DP unassisted. Looks like this guy’s for real folks. Performing at a carbon-copy rate same as last year in AA. I don’t know where the BRAVES will stash him, but that bat is going to be hard to keep out of an everyday slot in the majors by next year this time…..

RF CHRIS MARRERO [.259 BA] 1-4, 1 2B [6], 1 RBI [13].

3b JOE TERDOSLAVICH [.201 BA] 2-4. he breaks through the mendoza-line and in just three games raises his BA 21 points. Maybe he’s put a patch on that hole in his swing. One can only hope. Now if we can just get the leather out……

DOWN ON THE FARM

MISSISSIPPI

TENNESSEE bests the Bandits tonight 3-2.

RF KEENAN WILEY [.353 BA] 2-4. Moved out of the lead-off slot and hitting eight, but remains hot as a firecracker at the plate.

Lead-off CF TODD CUNNINGHAM [.337 BA] 2-4, 2 R. Move one hot hitter out, move another hot hitter in.

2B PHIL GOSSELIN [.254 BA] 1-4, 1 RBI [15].

LF ‘Big Jim’ GATTIS [.315 BA] 1-4, 1 2B [5], 1 RBI [14].

3B JOE LEONARD [.243 BA] 1-3, 1 BB.

RHSP ZEKE SPRUILL [L 3-4, 4.03 ERA] 6.0 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 5 SO, 1 E [3, missed catch at first]. Good enough for a win. Not great, but good enough.

RHRP ‘Aussie ANDY’ RUSSELL [2.45 ERA] 1.0 IP, no hits, 1 SO. Good stuff.

RHRP CORY RASMUS [1.56 BA] 1.0 IP, zeros, 2 BB, 1 SO.

RHRP MARK LAMM [2.45 ERA] 1.0 IP, no hits, 1 SO.

Great relief job, but the bats don’t overcome two errors, and two unearned runs.

The game was the first of six playoff contests in four days at Staples Center, where the NBA’s Lakers and Clippers will host back-to-back second-round playoff games this weekend. definitely different results not sure I would call 2011 pull happy though – but I do love to watch him go the other way. Maybe he has cranked more inside pitches for HR’s this year so pitchers are pitching him the other way?

I dunno I’m no expert will have to let nolie opine

braves had 3 CG last year 2 by JJ and 1 by huddy. and again I think beachy is awesome but not because of CG’s.

Hell Vazquez had 3 in 2010 for us and I don’t think I would consider him a #1 starter

uga-brave
