You wouldn’t have gotten an argument from me with “Freddie 2 Scoops”. Has a gangland ring to it. And anything is better than that Fab Five Freddie trash.
Braves need to bat around, and add 3 – 4 more runs to take the Marlins completely ou of this game. Then Beachy can cruise to that complete game shutout.
I guess the concerns about Beachey not going deep enough into games are getting erased the way things are going now.
I sure wish that the same could happen to Minor and though Tommy Hanson has not been bad, we want more than 5 innings in the next start. We need to see Tommy give us a good 7 on a reasonably consistent basis. Next time I want 6 good IP from Tommy, is that too much to ask.
A needed win and overall, not a bad week, split vs the Reds and now a split vs the hated Fish.
On a note in another sport, how bout them Pacers, nice feel good story. Good for them and the Pacer fans, always thought they got screwed thanks to Metta World Peace. That team had a shot to contend and now the Pacers are in a position to make a long playoff run.
My definition of a good playoff run is to make it to a confrence final.
On a side note, was looking at wikipedia today, how appropriate that Minor’s picture on his page is of him watching a homer sail out that he had given up. Gave me a nice little laugh. Everybody else has a normal picture and his is one of distress.
